So, I got this and have been testing it out and it's a great sewing machine for beginners.
Its great for small projects and maybe occasional hemming.
Its great for thinner fabrics. Jean material is a little tough for this little machine, although I did hem a pair of jeans successfully.
It's great for scrap projects too.
I'm going to practice on the pixi for a while and when I upgrade to a more advanced sewing machine I'm going to pass this one down to my daughter, when she's ready.
I learned to use a sewing machine in school way back in the day and couldn't remember anything about it and the pixi is SO easy, and it totally refreshed my memory without a bunch of advanced settings.
I give it an A.
It is great for beginners, or even advanced crafters who focus on smaller more delicate projects.
Would I recommend people to purchase this? Yes!
I think it would be perfect for my little 9 year old cousin.
Maybe, supervised for the first few uses to stress the importance of safety.
I wanted to start this blog for everyone to post on so that there is a blog specifically for artistic ideas.
It can be very short ideas, a lot of details, or no details at all. I just want it to inspire.
Hope to see some new posts here.
I got some purse handles at the craft store the other day. They were on sale. They are clear plastic ones.
So, I found a little cute hand bag that I had got at the dollar tree (for a little craft tote) and I cut the existing handles off.
I left about 2 inches on each strap (there were 4) and just hand sewed my new handles on with that.
Its so much cuter now, and the handles I added on are so much stronger.
So, I semi-made an original little craft tote for under 5 dollars.
I know artists can never find enough bags and totes to carry all of their supplies so, here is an idea for a somewhat original tote idea.
Now, I don't knit, but it would make an excellent tiny tote for someone who has to sit in the waiting room somewhere. For smaller projects, like hats or whatever.
I'm using it for my sketching supplies, like pads, pencils, and colored pencils.
I also carry my camera, media cards, and converter in there so if I need prints I can just pop in any store and order what I need.
I'm so excited about this because I'm really tired of buying totes and things for my supplies, and I have so many hobbies and I'm constantly needing carry alls. And its getting expensive.
I'd much rather spend the extra money I save on making these on more hobby supplies.
I learned a lot of stuff over at the longhaircommunity about natural hair products.
Well after lots of research, I made my own hair serum

I say guilt free because its cheaper than buying pizza at a take out parlor, and its quicker, and with one of my tips, its even a little healthier too.
I buy those 1$ cheapo frozen four cheese pizzas at the grocery store and buy my own ingredients to add to it, and bake it as the box says

I found the best thing that will keep your kids busy for at least 10 minutes (if they are little), so you can make important phone calls, pay some bills, or just fix their lunch, without them destroying your house.

As a parent sometimes its hard to come up with creative ideas and ways for kids to listen and keep busy.
This blog it designed to help other parents or caregivers come up with all kinds of creative things to do to help make life a little easier while raising children.
Spinach:
I chop fresh spinach and add it to just about everything. Stir fry, chili, soups, casseroles....you name it and spinach is in it.
The best part is, it looks like parsley! No one can say "eeew! That's spinach!" Haha

I just found a pattern at Jo Ann's today.
It is so inspiring! I've never sewn my own clothes but this definatly is something I would like to do.
Maybe I can make and sell my own patterns some day. That would be so awesome
