Today in Valley Ranch the Dallas Cowboys released a tentative schedule, the schedule has the details of the Cowboys practices and events when camp starts July 24.
The Cowboys will spend half of training camp in San Antonio and they will then head to sunny California to finish up the last two weeks of camp. As always It wouldnt be training camp with out the kick off party held every year the day before camp starts. The Event will host many country music artists such as Miranda Lambert, Los Lonely Boys, IntoCable and the Randy Rogers Band. The gates will be opened at 6 p.m. with the event starting at 7 p.m.
There is still much to be seen from this team in the coming months and many question are yet unanswered. Can Dez Bryant seem to get past the little nagging injuries that troubled him through the rookie and team OTA's. There will also be a lot of eyes on OT Doug Free, as well as the battle that will be happening in the defensive backfield for the safety position.
As loaded as the Cowboys are it looks as if there will be much competition and battles for roster spot and playing time and that can only prove to be beneficial for the boys.

As fast as information moves in these times there is a lot of buzz about the new relationship that wide receiver Miles Austin has seem to get involved in with Reggie Bush's former sweetheart Kim Kardashian.
The un-drafted star receiver who put up 1320 yards with 81 receptions and 11 touchdowns last year seems to have a little bit of celebrity fever. Much like his quarterback Tony Romo experienced at the start of his career. Dating star studded beauties such as Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson.
Among giving the Hollywood gossip biz something to talk about it will also keep phone lines at radio stations and the comments on discussion boards booming until the start of the season. Many football fans will be wondering how will this affect his game, the truth be told it should have very little to do with his execution but we all know how the media love to spin everything.
Austin seems to have a good head on his shoulders, he never seems to be too high or too low. I also believe that Tony Romo's former experience with having a public relationship can help the young receiver deal with any attacks by the media that can play mind games.
Perhaps this will be a total 360 degrees from the Romo/Simpson debacle. Last i checked Reggie Bush won the super bowl with Kim by his side and Lamar Odom won the NBA championship with Kim's sister Khloe. So just maybe they can bring the team just a little bit of luck!

The question has been asked several times since the release of Flozell Adams on a not so good Friday in April, and the answer has been the same. Can Free do the job for the boys. It seems that every member of the coaching staff has a lot of confidence in Free. Doug Free the 6' 6" OT from Northern Illinois looks the part but can he really hold down the left side alone? We all know he has athletic ability, all you have to do is look at the block he made 20 yards downfield on a 49 yard touchdown run that Felix Jones had Against the Eagles in the Cowboys first playoff win since 1996. Head Coach Wade Phillips described Free as a perfect fit because of his quick feet, but those quick feet found quick trouble when it was Free that was left to handle Vikings DE Jared Allen after Flo went out of the game with and injury to his knee. IÃÂÃÂm sure there is still a lot of work to do but it looks as is the cowboys are gearing up to get the next generation of linemen ready. Understandable seeing as how the average age of the Cowboys O-Line is steadily rising. The Addition of the Rams former number one pick in Alex Barron should add some competition and a chance for the former first rounder to get a new start and renew his career, as well as the draft of OT Sam Young from Notre Dame. With OTA's over and training camp in site it seems that Free has the respect and belief in the other players. So can Free do the job? The Only way any one will really know is when the season gets underway, and lets hope for all of Cowboys Nation that he can get the job done.
As the summer solstice has come and gone once more, the creeping feeling that training camp and the NFL season is just around the corner is setting in. The Excitement for the Cowboys and the possibilities of this season have been in every fans mind since the surprising shut down that the Vikings smacked down on the team in the second round of the playoffs this past season. Having said that, there are many signs that should make you feel a sense of security that this team is on the right path and has their minds set on playing for that Lombardi Trophy in February. It seems that the usual drama that seemingly is always around Valley Ranch has gone and has been gone for some time now. You get the feeling that this team knows who it is and what it wants. In a time of hold outs and players demanding money before results it is nice to see a team that has it together. Everyone seems to be working hard and still hungry. i believe this team is tired of looking like the best team in the NFL on paper and being pushed over when it counts. This team is zoned in and i expect many great things this year. From the Addition of Dez to the Second full season for Miles Austin and the possibility that Roy Williams might actually have to work for his job now the fire power can do nothing but get better.
