Listen to the L.P. by Joe Henderson titled Page One. These recordings were released in 1963. To my ears, Jazz is the stuff. Page One is smooth, cool and yet very funky.

I'm on the lookout for some of Joe's early 1970's recordings too. That wax was out front, in the face and somewhat more harsh.

Page One is quite tasty.

Scribblings

I'm a writer. The working title of my current project is "Power". Long titles bore me. I also feel that sometimes a long title causes the potential reader to think ' I already know the story here'. The title gives away too much information.

None of my books will be doorstops. By this I mean the stuff I write usually runs about 300 pages. No more. I read other author's like Clancy and King and think " How do they have all those ideas in the head" or "How can they sit there in front of the computer (sometimes the typewriter, in the case of Mr. King) and hammer all that stuff out? I read somewhere that King writes around ten pages a day (or so many words in a day. I use the page count method.

More about the book soon.

The Blog will also contain Music, Movie and Book Reviews....my tastes vary so the entries will also.

Various other ramblings will also be included.
