PLED is nothing but ‘Organic’ POLYMER LIGHT EMITTING DIODE. The researchers all over the world have already begun producing prototype displays on next generation devices which are brighter, lighter, use less power and last longer. The thickness of these PLEDs are just the thickness of paper.

This technology revolutionized in early 1990’s when they found the layer of PLED material when sandwiched between two electrodes started emitting light as a function of the electrolytic operations.
