Where Has the Time Gone?

March 30th 2007 14:43
I can't believe it's Friday afternoon again, time goes so quickly. So what have we been up to in the White Household this past week.

Well last Saturday Daz, Callum and I met up with some friends of ours that we haven't seen for a while and went bowling. It was great to catch up with friends although Callum was his normal little monkey monster self and wasn't happy in just bowling he wanted to run around, try and interact and bowl on other children's lanes (he was the only child in our little group) and play on the Fast and Furious race car game. Luckily our friends adore him and somehow between all of us adults (there were 8 adults) we managed to keep him fairly entertained and our one game of bowling only took an hour longer than what the bowling alley anticipated (they reckoned an hour and a half would do but we took two and a half hours!) LOL! Callum now thinks that bowling with our friends is going to be a weekly occurance as this morning when we all woke up he was asking about going again tomorrow. Cheeky monkey! Maybe I'll take him with my sister and her kids during the Easter holidays. Here are some photos from last Saturday

The Tracks of My Tears

March 5th 2007 12:53
One Sunday evening a few weeks ago Daz and I were watching some Smallville on dvd. A very sad episode came on and as per usual I had the frog in my throat and tears streaming down my eyes. Now it's a long standing joke in my family about me and crying, I'll cry at anything even if it isn't meant to make you cry. At the end of the episode Daz looks up and isn't surprised to see me crying (quietly though as I've perfected it now that if I'm quick enough that nobody knows I've been crying) and gives me that smile of his. So we get to talking about emotions and things on the tv, books, comics and so on that make you... ok me cry... and funny stories we have about my crying episodes.

Daz' favourite is the Buffy The Vampire Slayer story. I can't remember which season of Buffy it was but it was (and if you haven't watched Buffy and don't want to be spoiled stop reading now!!!) the one where Willow and Oz split up. Daz and I had an agreement that neither of us would watch the next episode without the other there but this particular Saturday morning while Daz was at work I just couldn't help myself, hey I was bored and my man wasn't around so sue me! Oh my God was it a sad episode, that Bas... Oz cheated on Willow and her poor heart was broken so badly (turns out so badly that she became a lesbian). As can be expected I was in tears. So what better thing to do next than phone up Daz and cry down the phone to him. He picks up the phone and is really concerned at first as I'm sobbing so badly I can hardly talk. Somehow I manage to say to him "It's so sad, Oz broke Willow's heart." his reply? "You watched Buffy without me?!? How could you do that?!?!" talk about give me a guilt complex! Daz' version of the story is much longer and funnier than mine but he's asleep in bed at the moment so I won't disturb him

Is it all black and white?

March 4th 2007 00:03
Callum loves grapes! He has them for breakfast lunch and sometimes even dinner sometimes, of course they are with other foods but grapes are a constant picture on his plate. As you can imagine we therefore get through a huge amount of them and practically every other day are buying more. On Thursday Callum and I needed to go and do some food shopping, a trip to the butchers for his Four Fat Sausages and to Sainsburys for some other foods including grapes.

Lately Callum has been wanting the black and white mixed packs so upon entering the supermarket we head over the fruit section to obtain the grapes
