Jumped on the Band Wagon

January 17th 2011 20:57
Soooo..Like almost everyone else..I've decided that this year I want to be healthier. My mother and I both joined Weight Watchers and have since been doing this along with my husband and my dad. So far everyone has done really well. The first week my mom, dad, and husband all three lost 10 pounds each! I on the other hand only lost 2. I have less to lose than the others so 2 pounds is still great to me!

For those of you out there that are doing Weight Watchers, I have found a wrap to use for sandwiches that is great! It is the Ole' Xtreme Wellness High Fiber Low Carb tortilla wrap. This wrap only has 1 point! NO..that is NOT a typo..it has 1 point and it tastes great!! It was so soft and fresh and was just what my breakfast needed.

I scrambled two eggs, used one strip of bacon, and half a piece of cheese on my wrap and the wrap had 7 points. You could also use these for lunch. You could put a little deli ham or turkey on there, some baby spinach and have lunch LOW in points!

If you are doing Weight Watchers or you just like to use wraps for sandwiches every once in a while..Give this product a try!!!!

Say Cheese Please

July 29th 2010 19:01
Ya know I just received a baby shower invitation in the mail and I got to thinkin' about all of the different kinds of foods that are found at showers. One of my all time favorites are cheeseballs. In my internet searches I have seen MANY recipes for them. Most of them use ALOT of different things. I have never actually tried the other recipes..I just think mine is the BEST..lol..and seems to be alot more simple! These are perfect for showers, little get togethers, holiday parties, office parties...pretty much any time!

Here's what you will need:
*2 packages of cream cheese
*2-3 green onions (best if chopped in a mini processor)
*1 jar of dried beef or 1 small package of chopped pecans (which ever you prefer your cheese ball to be covered in)

1.) First you will need to let the cream cheese soften so it will be easier to stir.
2.) While the cream cheese is softening you will need to chop 2-3 green onions. You will need to use the whole onion..blade and all. I use a processor so there are no chunks of onion when it's all mixed together.
3.) In a bowl mix together the cream cheese and the chopped onions. Make sure to mix it well so there are no places that have extra onion.
4.) This step is completely optional..I am a cheese lover so if you have any extra shredded cheese(cheddar) laying around you can toss a handful into the cream cheese and onion mixture. Like I said..completely optional..Just a thought..lol
5.) Once that is mixed you will need to decide which outside you prefer..Are you a beefy kinda person..or are you a nutty kinda person? Maybe you are a nutty, beefy kinda person and want to mix both for your outside..that is alright too! If you choose beef remember to chop it in the processor. If you chose to use both beef and pecans just kind of give them a toss once the beef is chopped, so that they will mix.
6.) Lay your outside coating out on a piece of aluminum foil or parchment paper. Form the cream cheese mixture into a ball or a log..whichever shape you prefer. Roll your shape in the mixture making sure to completely coat the outside of it.

You can place this in the center of a tray and place ritz crackers or wheat thins..or whatever type of cracker you like around the outside of it. Makes a perfect dish for a party or a shower and is SO simple to make! Hope you have an occasion that you can make one for soon! Have an awesome day folks!!

All Is Good...

July 28th 2010 23:09
I have become addicted. When I pulled the tab on my Coke Zero and took the first drink, I looked at my husband and told him, "That right there will take all of your troubles away!" Does anyone know if they make a group for that? lol But for real..I have to have my daily pop..or soda..whatever you call it..We call it pop here
It's probably a good thing they quit making BarNone candy bars when I was a child...If they hadn't I'd have to have my daily candy bar too. Don't ya just hate it when you really..and I mean REALLY love something and then they quit making it?? Anyone out there have anything that they wish was still being made??
Anyway..I hope everyone has an awesome day!
