New Years Day in NZ 2007

Gday from Christchurch, New Zealand, this is my first blog as have always wanted to start a blog, so thought why not. Currently weather here is cold and rainy, been like this for the last 3 days and not expecting it to get any better until Friday 
. So not really vacation/holiday weather at the moment. One of my friends last night said it was due to a cold 'El Nino'? Maybe, but who knows? As looking at the bigger picture, 100years in human terms is nothing compared to the history of the earth, so guess it's just natures way, although it would be hard to deny the impact that humans are having on the planet.
Better keep this first blog short until I get the hang of it, although do have lots to talk about but need to do some work on my first novel, which has been a work in progress for the last 6 years.
