Little House among the Canefields - May 2009

Construction is imminent!

It was very exciting on Monday evening when I drove by our block of land on the way home from work. There was our builder putting up the wire fencing that goes around all construction jobs, after a day of digging out the areas where the foundations will go.

What was not exciting was, while I was talking to him and taking the photos for this blog, the rain started again. And it continued to pour through the night. As I write this I think I can hear the rain falling yet again. How do sub-tropical areas ever get anything built?

There was a lovely rainbow that appeared over the canefields while I was there, so it wasn't a total lost cause. Onward and upward, I say! That goes for the house too.
