I met my husband seven years ago on a Contiki trip in the Northern Territory.
At the time I was living in Melbourne and he was living in Sydney. When the tour director came around ticking off everyone's names, mine wasn't on the list, but she wrote me down anyway and off we went on our tour the next morning.
It was only at the end of the tour that I found out I was on the wrong bus and should have been on the tour leaving in the afternoon. Apparently they had contacted our bus and said I was meant to be on the other bus. Luckily they kept me on the wrong bus or I wouldn't have met my husband.
He on the other hand didn't even realise he was going on a Contiki trip. His mum had booked the holiday for him and he thought it was a camping and fishing 4WD holiday - if he'd booked the trip himself he wouldn't have picked a Contiki trip and we never would have met.
