Getting back on the bandwagon...
November 2nd 2009 03:25
Okay, okay, so I fell off the bandwagon a little. For a while there my computer wasn't functioning so I lost my cyber-world for a week or two, but I was going to the gym five days a week and doing between 15 and 45 minutes of weights and 15 to 30 minutes of cardio on the bike each session, plus eating really well...
Then I got sick... and, well, that didn't end well! Takeaway five days in a row - not just the Thai or Japanese I normally get, but Maccas, Hungry Jacks, Nandos and all sorts thrown in for good measure.
To be fair on myself, my hard work previous to this little slip must have paid off - between 19 September and 17 October I lost three kilos and 17cms off my measurements (neck, chest, waist, hips, thigh, calf and upper arm). That included a .5cm gain on my calf. Don't know how that happened. Haha.
So despite still having a sinus infection and feeling like crap, I'm jumping back on the bandwagon with both feet. I've decided to start doing "Meatless Mondays", so today I've had a beautiful fresh homemade salad with egg for protein and tonight I'll be whisking up an omelette after the gym.
I've also got a list of supplements as long as my arm that were recommended by a friend who is a personal trainer. So far, I'm only taking a multivitamin with minerals and antioxidants, a B complex, kelp (to help maintain healthy metabolism), Spirulina and Inner Health Plus and use flaxseed oil for my salad dressings. Have a few more supplements on my shopping list for next payday, but I think what I've got is enough for now (at least until I can get back into my daily gym routine)...
