When you talk about investing in sports or non-sports cards condition is king. The better the card the more valuable the card is. Now over the years many people have tried many things to make cards look better by bleaching and other things. Find yourself a reputable grading service and have your cards graded. There are many good ones on the net that you can use.
Condition of a baseball card that has a PSA 10 can bring you thousands more than just a mint baseball card. This is why their are so many fakes out there as money can be may on unsuspecting collectors who think they are getting a bargain when in reality it's a fake. Remember condition is king, but know the dealer and where the card came from. You never want to spend thousands on a fake card which will be virtually worthless.
