Competitive Chaotic Madness: Why We've Lost The Plot?
March 16th 2007 03:50
At the moment i have trouble comprehending the world and the status it is in at the moment. What have we done to make the world this way? Or is it around the other way what has the world done to us? Everyone seems so ego-driven, self-obsessed, greedy and solely focused on themselves and how they can improve their position in society. How do i compare to everybody else? As long I am doing better than, know more than and more capable than the people that I am surrounded. Is this what the what the world come too?. Has all civilizations always been like this from the beginning of time. Why are so interested and motivated in making others surrounding feel like they don’t match and are not good enough. This darwinistic, animalisitc and overtly competitive nature has really taken over how people run their everyday lives and interact with people on a interpersonal and social level. I cannot seem to stand it. It really make me sick to my stomach to think that the majority of people in the western worlds population are trained and taught to think this way and regard everything as some sort of comparative contest. And think that is absolutely necessary to act in such a nasty way to get through life. A real dog eat dog die world that we have established for ourselves and generations to come, in a world currently where many millions are dying from hunger and disease and on the rapid increase.
