hey Norm.. is this the work of your hand? at first i thought this was a pink guitar with arms standing in a doorway, holding a compass, maybe it is.. on further study.. i see it differently. that it's outside, the 'guitar' is the compass itself, and with shadow... i love the house (in the middle of the road) and the contrast of the pink.. no power lines to the house? of course i could be completely up the tree, feel free to elaborate? not all artists like to, but i'd love to hear ...

Lily, that's a pretty fantastic vision you've had...I see what you mean about the geetar...it was an exercise for drawing class...we had to copy a Rick Amor painting and then make it surreal...the Amor was the house and I rearranged a few things...the pink makes it for me...your reading of it is very likeable...Norm...

Dusk,
actually it was gouache...oops...but yeah no doubt about the pink bits...not sure of the title of the Amor but I really like his work...and it was fun to do...draw deep...

Hi Norm,

sorry for the delay in getting here, I joined Bloggers Anon since I last saw you, and have strict things I must do to avoid becoming addicted again ... so, I'd better type quickly then.

I have visited this site three times and looked upon this piece and still cannot find an emotion?

Maybe that is it's beauty?

Anyway, I thought I had spent enough time on it, and must comment and move onto the dystopic nightmare above...

Lilla,
it's probably more of an academic piece...a learning exercise..we had to wear berets and hide sausages from each other...good class...
