Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful
What does this mean to the modern believers? To walk after the counsel of the ungodly is simply to start taking the advice of those outside the faith concerning the principles to live by. This is the first step to backsliding and being overcome by the world. The next step is when you start hanging with those who are not following Jesus Christ. It is at this time that you will begin to adopt their sinful habits. Then, finally you will begin to even persecute your brothers and sisters in the faith. So, just remember not to look to those outside of Christ for moral guidance in your life.
This is not to say that you should act anti social but just keep yourself from a lot of problems.
