Something a little different

October 29th 2006 06:49
I've chosen some more Art for you and may be able to get 4 on to-day, just to give you a little more variety.

One of them I REALLY like now, although when I first did it, it didn't appeal to me at all.

There's the usual brain challenge which most don't get involved with, but which I always absolutely love, I've changed the colour scheme yet again, but it is not so challenging as the brighter ones [perhaps I should say vivid].

The colours are still a little muted but have escaped the purely pastel tag.

The rest are of variable appeal or even no appeal at all but I am increasingly surprised at the positive responses I have to some I would be inclined to dismiss.

That's supposing I actually get the four on, which will not appear in the order of discussion, just to challenge a little more, but not much more.

I'd really like to know what you can see and how they make you feel. So I'll be looking forward to your comments.

katyzzz,

The first picture was drawn by a dentist who plays the stock market ...

He came home one night after a hard day looking at swollen gums and busted teeth all day, checked the Dow Jones Index and found that Telstra had fallen again.

He tried contacting them via the phone, and while he was waiting for them to answer (about three hours) ... he started doodling on MS paint.

One second he was thinking about gums and broken teeth, the next second he was thinking about the rises and falls in his stocks ...

By the time a real person (and not an electronic voice) answered him, he had fallen asleep head first on the keyboard, and woke up to see this drawing on the screen.

He subsequently quit orthodontistry, sold his shares and now lives in Kings Cross doing pastels on the footpath.

He often makes a lot of coin for reproducing this one ...

Hoemr,

You're choice, not mine..... a brilliant response [as usual]. You have declined to unravel the cryptic puzzle I left on your site I notice.

Don't worry, I'll help you out some time, you'll laugh at how easy the first one is, but I bet it initially eludes you.

You made me laugh, although an anticipated career on the footpath doesn't appeal to me much, nor does it say much for my art. You didn't enter the guessing competition, there's a couple of really big offers on the other posts, but if you visited to relax you really need to go back a post or two.

You missed the brain challenge, I can't say I blame you, you were very preoccupied with the dentist and the stock market, I didn't realise you knew what a graph was.

Fortunately I missed the boom and the bust of Telstra, unbelievable isn't it?

Try the 1800 nos and start to complain immediately about the cost of all the calls you've already made.

It's a good way to save money.

Don't ask Telstra to ring you back, they won't, they know the cost of a phone call too.

I really ought to have called one a disciplinary order, not the name I gave it. Just imagine a monk in such colours. That would be great wouldn't it? well ?????

katyzzz,

the second picture was drawn by a guy who fixes speakers and woofers and sub-woofers for a living.

He was trying to invent a new woofer, so he placed his dog inside the speaker.

The dog escaped and chased him along two fencelines for miles and miles.

He ripped a fencepost out of the ground, whacked the dog over the head, took him home and microwaved him.

The RSPCA arrived just as he was about to have linguini mongrelini.

He was locked up in a mental asylum. His cell didn't have a bed, just a few electrical items stuck to the walls ...

katyzzz,

My mind is a little exhausted today, and has been for about three days now ...

So, it's not surprising that I'm a bit slow on the uptake regarding cryptic posts ...

Hopefully, by tomorrow I will have recuperated, and will be able to unravel what you have posted to me on Eternity ...

katyzzz,

I'm going to comment on number 4 before number 3.

That guy should never have tried to empty the garage by himself. And he should have taken his hat off before starting. But, I've always found something strange about people who like wearing brown suits ...

Homer, it's really wonderful to know I have a friend who is such an animal lover.

You must have been having a bad hair day.

This picture is a before shot, not after, don't you feel ashamed of yourself?

I guess not, as your tummy is so full.

Is it an Italian or a Chinese girl friend you have now?

Homer, it's bed time.

katyzzz - I'm so excited about the party!

katyzzz,

I don't see much in number 3 at all, except perhaps a really bland person designing a floor rug ...

But I like the title. St Augustine said 'peace is the tranquillity that comes from order' ... and I've always liked that saying ...

A place for everything ... and everything in its place ...

Homer, I can't keep up with you.

I owe you a few already, don't worry, I'll catch up but not to-night

katyzzz,

No Dan Murray's ...

I'm as knackered as a horse at a glue factory anyway ...

Will play boost-the-numbers soon ...
