Clear Skin or Lack Thereof

January 9th 2008 04:50
So, yesterday I was having an "ugly" day. My skin sorta broke out and it looked more oily than usual. I think it was attributable to my hormonal week...ladies, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Then again, it's also partially due to a lack of sleep, so a combination of pre-period hormones and sleep deprivation are huge contributing factors.
Well, I had to do something about it. And if I didn't, then I was 2 seconds away from putting a paper bag over my head. So I exfoliated my skin with Clean and Clear Face Scrub- the kind that's specifically formulated to combat nasty blackheads. After scrubbing and rinsing, I immediately noticed a drastic difference. The grease face was gone. But it didn't end there. I then proceeded to apply Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque on my face. I'll tell ya, for a 3-4 dollar jar (or tube), that baby made a heck of a big difference. Anyway, I left it on my face for about 30 minutes, meanwhile, I carefully dabbed some Mary Kay Eye Gel around my eye area. I owed it to my skin. Well, the good news is, today my skin is 50% better.
So, girls (and guys too), I strongly urge you to take care of your skin. Exfoliate at least once a week. You don't want your face to scream "I just consumed a Big Mac and large French Fries." Heck, I'm a vegetarian and my skin pretty much reflected that yesterday. Scary...

p.s. for some reason, my upload image thing is not working...so I can't grace you with a lovely picture of Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque at the moment

The Clean and Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser and sometimes St.Ives Apricot Scrub. Or make your own natural scrub by mixing 1/2 of sugar and 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil
