Max Payne Trailer and Promo Shots!

The Max Payne trailer has finally arrived and it looks better than I expected. I like the visual style and it seems to be keeping true to the feel of the games but It's only a trailer so we will have to wait and see. The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis and is directed by John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Flight of the Phoenix, The Omen)

Max Payne is set for release October 16.

Is Darren Aronofsky set to 'rebuild' ROBOCOP?

So Robocop is being ‘rebuilt’ (MGM’s term not mine) and word is that Darren Aronofsky has been in talks to direct.
Now Aronofsky is a brilliant filmmaker and could bring a certain visual edge to the remake but I just don’t see the studios going for it. They will want Robocop to be an action blockbuster without the blood and satire of the original and I’m not saying that he could not deliver this, he just wouldn’t be my first choice. Although my choice would be NOT TO REMAKE EVERY DAMN THING! Sorry about that.

That being said it’s still early days and Aronofsky does have the two films The Fighter and The Wrestler on his plate at the moment so this may not come to pass but one thing is for sure in 2010 we will see the Robocop remake, oh sorry ‘rebuild’.

In a world where every film will be remade we have the trailer for the upcoming remake of the 50s Sci Fi Favourite THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL
Keanu Reeves portrays Klaatu, an alien whose arrival on our planet triggers a global upheaval. As governments and scientists race to unravel the mystery behind the visitor's appearance, a woman (Jennifer Connelly) and her young stepson get caught up in his mission – and come to understand the ramifications of his being a self-described "friend to the Earth."

And if you haven’t seen the original I’ve added the trailer for that also, oh how times have changed.
