Free Five-Pointed Star Crochet Pattern

Materials:

Small amount worsted weight yarn
Size H crochet hook

Size: 2 1/2" in diameter

Rnd 1: Ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 9 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (10 dc).

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same dc, ch 1, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc, ch 1, sc in next dc, ch 1, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc, ch 1, sc in next dc, ch 1, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc, ch 1, sc in next dc, ch 1, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc, ch 1, sc in next dc, ch 1, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next dc, (omitting last ch 1), join w sl st in 1st sc, fasten off (5 points).

Weave in ends. Enjoy!

Free Poinsettia Square Crochet Pattern

Materials:
Small amounts worsted weight yarn in red, yellow and green
Size H crochet hook

Size: 3 1/2" square

Gauge: 2 rnds dc=1"

Rnd 1: With yellow, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 1, 8 sc in ring, fasten off (8 sc).

Rnd 2: Join red w sl st in 1st sc of Rnd 1, ch 2, work 1st halves of 2 dcs in same st, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook to form beg cluster, ch 2, * work 1st halves of 3 dcs in next sc, yo and draw through all 4 loops on hook to form cluster, ch 2, rep from * around, join w sl st in top of beg cluster, fasten off (8 clusters plus 8 ch 2 sp).

Rnd 3: Join green w sl st in any ch 2 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, 3 dc in next ch 2 sp, * (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch 2 sp, 3 dc in next ch 2 sp, rep from * around, join w sl st in top of beg ch 3, fasten off (36 dc).

Rnd 4: Join red w sl st in any corner ch 3 sp, ch 1, sc, ch 3, sc in same sp, * (ch 3, sk 3 dc, sc in sp between the 3 dc groups) twice, ch 3, #, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next corner ch 2 sp, rep from * around, ending at #, join w sl st in 1st sc, fasten off (16 ch 3 loops).

Weave in ends.
