Generation Freedom got to experience a double blessing on April 1st...the Christian band HawkNelson came to Rocketown in Nashville, and not only that...but the concert was sold out and the kids got in for free. If that wasn't enough, my "Drama Llamas" as I call them, were first in line to get their goodies signed.
Here is the story: One of my "llamas" LOVES HawkNelson. He wasn't scheduled to come anywhere near Nashville for a good span of time. So she prayed fervently that they come to town. When I found out they would be here, I quickly worked with the youth pastors to take the kids to the concert. Only, this young fervent praying fan had a softball game that night. Since she was already committed, she would HAVE to play the softball game! Or would she? She quickly turned her prayers to prayers for rain and guess what? You guess it! A rainstorm came in and the game was called. She rode with me and my two boys to Rocketown. It never rained while we waited outside
It seems my time gets consumed with more and more things. As I work, I am constantly planning ahead for when I get home, and what all can be done for the kids. My little one is doing a bit better, and we have had a good time enjoying each other, especially since he is learning to read. These are treasured times
I would like to thank everyone for their prayers. My youngest one has been through alot. While I want to protect his right to privacy, I do want to say that it has been a very serious road. We have had him on several different kinds of medications, and it's looking like this one is actually showing some promise.
For those of you who don't know, I have a little one that is constantly being checked by the doctors and is on meds. I have been dealing with him non stop since he was 18 months old. He is my precious little one, my youngest, and he is darling. Please be patient with me as my posts my slow down due to me dealing with him and his medical issues.
I wanted to tell you about my friend, Rhoda, who teamed up with TeenMania ministries. She has just spent six weeks in India, sharing the love of God with thousands
I have been made aware of a Christian CD created by the mulit-talented BarlowGirl. The CD is creatively named, How Can We Be Silent. The songs come from this CD are powerful, and from three girls who are crying out to God for a generation to stand up for the ways of God. "A Million Voices" is an anthem for all ages. It's a dynamic message with an awesome sound. You'll go away humming this one for days after.
BarlowGirl, as most bands do, has their own web site. They have a SPEAK OUT section, which I will place here. In Speak Out, you can call in and leave messages on things you are doing to be a light in a dark world. It's a wonderful tool
I ask you, what could hinder prayers? Cause strife and division? I'm sure you have many answers, but I pose this to you. What is the cancer within the church? (By church I mean Christianity as a whole
We were five months away from our wedding when I met my now-husband’s three sons, Tobey, Skylar, and Brandon. The October breeze whirled leaves around them like a cyclone as they stepped out of the car. I welcomed them in our home, telling each one of them how many stories their dad had told me about them.
Like bouncing puppies, my three children greeted them excitedly and quickly gave them a tour of the house. Bonding was immediate due to the closeness of the ages. My oldest son, David, was 11. Tobey was 10. Skylar was 9. Brandon and my daughter, Morgan, were 8. Noah, my youngest, was 5. Thicker than thieves, they ran through the house playing everything from spies to superheroes. Hunter, my husband, was thrilled. His boys had “taken to me,” and my kids “had taken” to them. Nothing made him happier
