Prayer Request
November 24th 2008 19:30
I feel the need to ask for help in reference to an incident that occurred last week that I heard about. While I am not personally acquainted with the person it happened to, I know for a fact he is a brother in Christ. Anyway, he found himself in an unfortunate situation last week. I am not going to get into the details because that is not my nature and it is not the Christian thing to do. The consequences of the situation will alter his life, such as his job, his family, his income and countless other aspects.
I know we all find ourselves in difficult situations but this one in particular weighs heavily on my heart. Maybe it is because I know each of us is only one “bad decision” away from changing our lives forever.
No matter what this man does at this point, it will not change the past. My hope is that God will take him and use him and his situation in a positive way.
I graciously request that each of you reading this will have mercy on him and others like him. Please lift him and his family up in prayer that God may use them for His greater purpose.
Thank you for your mercy and kindness.
In Christ,
Shannon
Psalm 86:5-7 (NIV)
“You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you. Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my cry for mercy. In the day of my trouble I will call to you, for you will answer me.”
