Are 10 year old's too old to play pass the parcel?
No.
My daughter turned 10 on the weekend and she played pass the parcel with her friends. To make it age appropriate and fun I put a "girle" gift under each layer. A lip gloss, hair ties, hair band, hair clips, nail polish. The main prize was a gold toilet bag.
Shop at Kmart or Big W and you can buy these gifts for a reasonable price.
They Loved It!!! The giggles, anticipation and "oh let me see what you got?" were all fun.
No party is complete without a lolly or gift bag for the children to take home.
In fact so many children now expect to recieve a bag.
There are many bags on the market made specifically for parties, however you can also make your own.
When my daughter had a ballerina party we made the bags out of ballerina fabric with a satin tie.
For her butterfly party we used paper bags with butterfly stickers on them for decoration.
The brown paper bag with decorations symbolising the theme of your party is probably the easiest option.
Do lolly bags always need to have lollies in them? Certaintly not. We often include a coloring in picture for the child to take home. You can also include stickers, bracelets, yo yos and other novelty toys.
We recently attended my friend's daughter's first birthday party. My friend put lollies in the bags for the older children but obviously one year olds shouldn't be recieving lollies. They recieved a little cup with a board book in it. Great idea!
What great ideas do you have for lolly bags?

With the start of the cricket season there may be some boys who are keen to have a cricket theme for their birthday party.
Ideas for games.
Bowling competition : who can bowl the wickets off the cricket stumps the most times.
Pin the wickets on the stumps. Draw up a big picture of cricket stumps and make cardboard wickets. Blind fold the children and ask them to try and pin the wickets on the stumps.
A mini game of cricket, especially good if you have a big backyard or long drive way.
Ideas for decorations:
Decorate the walls with pictures of your child's favorite cricket players.
Flags of the cricket playing nations.
Ideas for the birthday cake.
A cricket field.
Cake in the shape of a cricket bat or a baggy green cap.
Ideas for inviations:
Invitations can be shaped like a bat or a ball.
You could print out a picture of a cricket field and write the party details over the top of the picture.

on Lolly bags
Children's parties
For example when we had the bananas in PJs party we had banana lollies in the bag.
For the Harry Potter party we had jelly beans and made out they were the many flavored jelly beans mentioned in the Harry Potter books.
