We've lost another hero

Unfortunately, Richard Winters, one of the heroic leaders of the allied invasion of Nazi Germany and was featured in the HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers," has died at 92.
After his heroic exploits in WWII, Winters was a very private man and died last week but requested that the news be withheld until after his funeral.
My admiration for these men first came to light in this post from last summer.
If you're not familiar with Company "E", 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, it can be summed up briefly by saying they dropped on D-Day, fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and stayed in Germany after hostilities ended.
Okay, it sounds like a comic book but, this incredible story is true!
Even if you don't like war stories, make an effort to catch the miniseries "Band of Brothers." If nothing else, watch the training until D-Day and then watch the last 8 minutes.
