Leaving Kaulin house, i headed for Athens .stopped for gas and meet Wayne a reporter for the Athens Banner Herald. Did a interview and was on my way .
Arrived to a closed welcome center but got a map of the city.and headed for the doublebarrell cannon which sits outside of the City hall. .
the plan was for both barrels to fire at once and shoot a lenght of chain at the enemy but they couldnt get the barrels to fire at the same time .But they saved this old cannon anyway even though it was a failure this is were I meet Shadow a sox fan from Rockville conn.

these are the Arches everyone must walk under who comes to Athens it leads to a large courtyard surrounded by massive brick buildings and a frat house that looks like it came from Grecce.

Athens is a very freindly place . meet alot of good people here .but the road awaits next stop atlanta
