Celebratory Rap

The reasons for celebration are often forgotten throughout the night.
So when asked what we're celebrating, we say LIFE!
Trudging through the urban sprawl and its intricate innards, one must pause outside the place that is playing hiphop. This place could be a terrace/ freestanding house, a close2groundlevel apartment, or something of the bar/pub/club variety.
Some of the friends more into Mobb Dylan than Beastie Boys may continue on the trail, and some may stop and listen. Then they focus on the beat as someone starts freestyling to it.
The golden tongue gets passed after about half a minute, and the next person begins.
All the while everyone is realising the topic being freestyled is the reason they are celebrating in the first place. Its what we use freestyle for - to wax lyrical about what we do with ourselves day to day, sometimes moving into the concept of the big picture, and the slightly less existential reason bubbles to the surface.
We are not simply existing, we are experiencing. An experiential occurence is usually the cause for celebration, and adds depth to ones freestyle like putting pen to pad and spitting the written rhymes to your elite fleet over a dope beat.
Experience is celebration is freestyle. So lose your inhibitions and come improvise some poetry the next time you see a cypher.
And don't forget, loosen up and HAVE FUN!
