Carlton Blues Announce The Debut of New Gun Recruit
July 17th 2007 05:56
The Carlton Football Club today announced the debut of their "next big thing" in football. A spokesman for the Blues said today "he's like all our other players only he's good". In a move tipped to force the Blues to play a slightly better brand of football , the new recruit has tangibly lifted the spirits of all Carlton supporters. Euphoric elation is the state of being experienced right now.
"He's versatile and does exactly what the coach asks of him. You always sense that he's listening to your instrucrtions", said jubilant Carlton coach Dennis Pagan before putting the new recruit through his paces at training yesterday. "Other coaches are going to have to radically alter the way their teams play against us now" he said as he swapped the new recruit to the goal square for some defensive skills drills.
A star throughout preseason the rookie utility has all the versatility of other Carlton players except he's orange. "It's an added bonus to be that colour." says Sports psychologist Miriam Van Waxwheeler, "He's got a good head on his shoulders and he keeps his feet on the ground."
Dubbed the general of the Carlton backline already, the new recruit remained tight-lipped today about his debut, and almost seemed embarrassed about the fuss. There seems little doubt that the Carlton team is set for a big improvement with the new addition brightening the spirits of all his team mates, except the jealous ones who only wish that they were as flexible as he.
And the ladies love him.

Consumption Malfunction
Equal and Opposite
Arses and Elbows
Footy Power
he's been likened to Mighty Mick.
Marginally less hair but brainier.
David Schwarz is a big wrap for him too.
