All good

May 22nd 2007 06:25
it is. Really. All is good.

The different nations still live in the one house. And guess what? I am moving in!

So, the little town house will house at least 7 girls..

And the funny thing is that, we are all single.

What is the latest fact regarding single women? I mean, I am single. Ladies out there, give me a holla.

Is it because the guy you thought you would end up with is with someone else.? Shame on that guy...
Is it because you love singleness? i dont mind.
Is it because you have friends with benefits? alot of them for the liking?

I dont know what it is. I have alot of single girl friends. Ranging from 18 - 38 yrs old. Me? im 24. I love the single life.. But what really are we missing? apart from the physical side of any relationship, i vote nothing. Ok ok, i sound so against MEN in general. But i am not. I love men. I love hanging out with my guys mates. I seem to have more fun with them.

Maybe its because with our guy mates, we tend to see them as 'friends' and not as something more.

Well, dont you think that they need to step up the game if they want more..?
Whats so hard about trying?

I once asked a guy out. He said no. Really broke my heart because we became really good friends. I guess we still are, but he hasnt had the decency to sit and talk it through. So ive had to just toughen up, and forget the whole thing..

Am i wrong?

I can only wonder

Brunch

March 29th 2007 04:24
hi again,

Well, on Sunday, we all decided to have brunch. And being in a house of different cultures, brunch is defined differently, but mean the same thing. ALOT OF FOOD.

So off we go to COLES and but nothing but pancake mixes and fruit. No bacon, no eggs, no sausage, no nothing like brunch.
But we bought alot of pancake mixes that 7 girls could have second servings. and the friut salad topped it off. The weather wasnt that great, well, it was in another context. It was enough to cuddle up in front of the tv and watch a movie, only to fall asleep after the first 15 mins of it. Movies like One Fine Day with George Clooney. Such a good movie!

Its funny how movies are made. Or who creates them. There is always abit of the creator in what they have made. Certain dark stories or what not. Its almost freaky, the least to say. But it happens.

Lee the Writer got her hair thermally straightened this week. It looks good.So Simba and I were at Darling Harbour kids park for over 3 hours. Really, kids love it there
And they wouldnt get bored. So we were there. There was a primary sch class who was there as well. Just for 30 mins or so. I overheard two boys singing and teasing their female classmate, 'we're bring Audrey back' and all the rest of them would yell, "YEAH"... so funny, so i smiled at them and got one back. Very cool

Justin Timberlake is much loved artist in this house. So that song gets EVERYONE dancing, even the 2 yr old.

Nadia went to NZ for two days. The rest of the girls had exams and assignments to do. So they pretty much had their heads in books most of the week.
We plan to chill this Friday night. Might go see a movie or something. Or watch Prison Break.

Laterz...

Capturing Bella

March 22nd 2007 13:22
Hi all

So, continuing back on the UnItEd house. We are situated in sydney. A lovely 4 bedroom townhouse.

I am currently in the kitchen, on the laptop writing in this. I wrote in two other posts but it didnt seem to save that in. Sincerely disappointed so hopefully this will actually save into this blog.

So, first person i would like to introduce you to is C-aka Water Master. She is from the UK and is one of the funniest people i know. If i had a media production company, I would hire this chick as a production co-ordinator. She knows her stuff well and has a deep passion for something I lack - organisation.

Sara is the lookalike of an actress. If you ask me which one, that would be difficult. This is the Swedish who is down to earth. Loves life. Very creative. I would place her in front of a camera, but to be honest, i would be priveleged if she were to capture moments thru camera lens.

Lulu KuWandi, a young lass hailing from South Africa. Pretoria to be precise. Okay, this chick loves chocolate. Wait, she even calls herself chocolate. And has even taught a 2yr old Canadian that all brown looking people are chocolate. Its not quite racist I dont think. Its just very very cute. Mind you, we have had to watch the lines comin out of little Simba's mouth when in public. But back to lulu, for her, i would place her in charge of meeting guests or clients. Shes one of those people who just has a flare for meeting new people.

Then theres Lee aka The Writer. She has lines from big movies and great songs and has them engraved in her memory. And she quotes them like everytime.
She is also a great writer and has a deep deep love for it. Always has crazy crazy ideas for these films that i know will somehow make it to the big screen.
She has a little Princess called Sim. Well, i call her Simba. She is 2 yrs old but seems like a 4 yr old. She talks to you like an adult. Very beautiful little girl that i have the privelege of looking after while Lee is at college. Yes, yes Lee is in college. Come to think about it, they are all in college. Me? I'm not in college. Just a friend who sleeps over when i can or even forced to by these chicks.
Both Lee and Sim are Canadians.

Another addition to the house is N. Another Canadian. N has an actual folder of recipes of these yummy baked cookies and cakes. Its heaven i tell you. She really loves making them too. I am glad that both Canada and Australia are in the commonwealth. because at this stage, i would hate to see Simba go back home.

Now, you may notice the 4 bedroom townhouse mentioned earlier. "4" being the critical point. Well, I sleep on the couch in the living room and being a night owl, i hardly sleep much. Although I do appreciate sleep. Really. It is a beautiful thing.

Well, there you have it. Btw, I am a Fijian, born in Darwin raised in Fiji but came here in my late teens, after the coup had happened in sleepy paradise.

I would have never thought that this would happen. But the circle of our friends keep increasing. And i love it.

So i hope that in sharing with you our story, will you see life. The fun. The Friendships. The different countries and cultures.

I absolutely love it.
so for now, stay tuned.

Farewell

March 13th 2007 21:59
I am currently writing in from a hotel in Coogee. We had spent the night here last night because we are farewelling a great friend of ours. An addition to the house where i call my second home, meet E. A girl who is heading back home after 3 years being in Australia. She has being studying here for the last 3 years, and is heading back home to the wonderful land of Africa, Malawi to be precise, that is located in Central Africa, (she has never NEVER let me forget that).

So at the moment. there are 4 girls. Myself, J, A and E. J is sleeping still. After inundated with parties and shopping sprees with our dear friend and who works full time night shift, it has been exhausting, but to say the least, has been spending every bit of spare time with E. A is texting her new found boyfriend.Very cute indeed And E? She is in the shower. We had planned to kidnap her and take her to the country somewhere. But alas, we will obey the laws set before us
