The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Richard Branson tried to regain control of Virgin Blue but Toll Holdings has rejected the offer stating that it is an "excellent business" and they would like to hold onto it.

Richard Branson is the face of Virgin Blue and many Australians presume he controls it, so perhaps it would be poetic if he regains his major stake one day.
