Bugs

After the rain stopped, the bugs came. I haven't been home much today but I've seen plenty of arthropods that aren't normally in the house. Including two unidentified jumping insects. There is a beetle on my ceiling, but I will let it live as long as at stays out of my bed. And now, a sonnet inspired by these unwelcome visitors:
Why do you need to invade my abode
Are you not content with a life outdoors?
Far from a swatter swiftly striking floors?
You would be more safe living on a road
Where your presence won't make people P.O'ed
You are best off when somebody ignores
You since you can't win the bug-human wars
Your worst enemy is man, not a toad
Is the shelter worth the price you must pay?
The web of the spider and the frog's tongue
May not be the best things to live among
But they're not nearly as bad as the spray
Why have I said this? Is it for naught
Because bugs cannot have a complex thought?
Why do you need to invade my abode
Are you not content with a life outdoors?
Far from a swatter swiftly striking floors?
You would be more safe living on a road
Where your presence won't make people P.O'ed
You are best off when somebody ignores
Your worst enemy is man, not a toad
Is the shelter worth the price you must pay?
The web of the spider and the frog's tongue
May not be the best things to live among
But they're not nearly as bad as the spray
Why have I said this? Is it for naught
Because bugs cannot have a complex thought?
