BERNIE MAC REMEMBERED BY HOLLYWOOD

August 10th 2008 04:28
Bernie Mac
In the wake of the untimely death of the great Bernie Mac his friends and collegues have remembered their pal.
George Clooney said "The world just got a little less funny. He will be missed dearly."
George Lopez: “At 50 years old he will be sorely missed and to be such a good father to your kids and to be a great husband and not be around is really difficult for everybody. As comics we are all brothers and I’ll miss him a lot. He was a good friend of mine.”
Brad Pitt: "I lament the loss of a ferociously funny and hardcore family man. My thoughts are with Rhonda and their family. Bernie Mac, you are already missed."
Samuel L. Jackson: "It goes without saying that Bernie was one of the preeminent comedians of our generation."
"He was also an attentive husband, a great father and loving grandfather. I feel blessed to have shared years of friendship with Bernie Mac, and I'm honored to have finally co-starred with him in what I consider to be his finest cinematic acting achievement. My sincere prayer is that his family will be comforted by the warmth of love from all of us who knew and respected this man."
Luke Wilson: "He couldn't have been a nicer guy. He just seemed like a real family man and just a nice guy on the set, just very kind of normal guy."
Niecy Nash, who played Mac's sister on The Bernie Mac: " When I showed up to work, he said something to me that had never been said to me on a set before. He said, 'Baby girl, the script here is not the Bible. Do you, and I'll follow. I got mine, you get yours.' When he said that, I knew everything was going to be all right. I was happy to have the freedom to make up some funny with him. It was simply delicious."
Don Cheadle: "This is a very sad day for many of us who knew and loved Bernie. He brought so much joy to so many. He will be missed, but heaven just got funnier."
I think that sums up the loss to the world beautifully.

Aussie actor and superhunk Eric Bana has made his directorial debut in a comedy about his love for his car a 1974 Ford.
Entilted Love The Beast, the documentary type flick is in post production and filming has been underway for two years already. Bana says "It started out as a simple project, but events along the way conspired to turn it into something I could never have envisioned." Distributor Madman Entertainment says of the film "In an unexpectedly emotional journey, Eric explores the importance of friends, hobbies, and what it means to live life to the fullest."
"Along the way Eric seeks counsel and guidance from household names such as (US talk show host) Dr Phil and (Top Gear host) Jeremy Clarkson." I wonder if Dr. Phil will say being crazy in love with your car is normal?

SHIA OFF TO REHAB

August 7th 2008 02:45
Shia LaBeouf
They tried to make him go to rehab and he had no choice. Shia LaBeouf is off to rehab before he faces drink driving charges. Shia 22, feels this will help his cause when he makes his court appearance even though the recent car accident Shia was in was not his fault, he was still DUI. Shia is readying himself for rehab because "judges like to see it (rehab)." And while I'm here, there is talk Shia will lose a finger from his left hand that was badly injured in the accident. This is yet unconfirmed, but lets hope it's not the middle finger, it will be so hard to flip the bird. And let's hope Shia's recovery in rehab sticks and doesn't dissapear the day after his court hearing.
