Brick Pickin'
June 23rd 2009 09:06
I know it's been quite a while since I've updated this blog but that's because NOTHING HAS BEEN HAPPENING!!! Bloody rain and big weather events with storms that should actually be classed as cyclones.
At least that's what I call the last storm we had that blew our 13 foot, very heavy trampoline over three houses and on to the roof of a neighbour in the next street! The whole town knew about it, to the point that the local policeman drove past Mark on the street and called out over his loudspeaker "Hey, where's your trampoline?!"
Oh the joys of a small town.
Aaanyway, we finally got the bricks dellivered which was quite exciting until the next deluge happened which has made the bricks look like little mini Towers of Pisa on our very soggy front yard.
The bricks we picked are a double height, warm sandy coloured look. It was surprising how quickly Mark and I agreed on them. They are called 'Lexington Gold'. Except that they had a nicer colour I would have gone for 'Rose Gold' just for the name.
I just hope the rest of the colours, tiles, materials we have to pick will be so easy.
