First off, I am a new writer assigned to this blog. Any previous posts are not mine. I chose this type of blog because I love movies and enjoy talking about them.
A few days ago i decided to go watch Taken, starring Liam Neeson, after being ditched by my friends, Bastards.Anyway, Bryan Mills, an ex government spy has just witnessed his daughter (Maggie Grace) being kidnapped. Outraged, Bryan goes on a killing spree in Paris hoping for any clues that may lead to the whereabouts of his daughter.
I don't have to say much more than that. The plot of this movie is very simple. However, what this movie lacks in plot it makes up for in action. The beginning of the movie is a bit slow for my taste, but needed in order to introduce what type of man Bryan Mills is. Once Liam Neeson's character goes into action you are completely sucked in. You will find yourself rooting for Bryan Mills all the way and hoping he kills everyone of those bastards. Every time he killed someone, I just couldn't help thinking to myself, YOU JUST GOT PWNED!!!
Anyway, it's a great movie only because of the action. And has only one message, Don't f**k with Liam Neeson because he will look for you, he will find you, and he will kill you.
Rating 8.5/10
I've always been a street fighter fan. And I think we can all remember the horrible live action movie version with Jean-Claude Van Damme. Now the question i keep having in my mind is, will this new movie version be any better? Well, you can argue, how can this be any worse? There is no doubt that the action sequences and special effects will be better. However, these days its so easy to get caught up in all the special effects, that movies like this can easily turn out to be really bad. After seeing the trailer, I have no doubt in my mind that there will some great fighting sequences. But that worries me, cause that's all I get from the trailer. I don't really get a strong back story from this movie. Now, Chun-li isn't my favourite character. I probably would have wanted to see the legend of Ryu or something. But I do think Chun-li will serve as a great backboard for a possibly decent story. I hope, for the sake of all sf fans, this will be a great movie because I have lost all faith in these types of movies. Stupid Jean Claude...I still have nightmares.

So season three of America's best dance crew premieres on mtv Jan 15. and In canada on muchmusic, Jan 18. This season looks to be a like its going to be very promising. The crews for this season include:
1. Team Millenia - who got kicked off by the judges last season. Excited about that cause they should have been in season two.
2.Beat Freaks - Another all girl group who apparently won many awards and appeared in such movie as You Got Served and Step Up 2. Who knows maybe the first all girl group will win this season.
3.Boxcuttuhz- Don't really know much about them. Can't really see a group named boxcuttuhz winning this season.
4.Dynamic Edition - An all clogger group. Hmm, yeah I don't think so. I think this group is going to be the equivalent of break skate.
5.Fly Khicks - Another girl group who were all former dancers for Miami Heat? Haha, uhh...no.
6.G.O.P - I really don't get the name of this group.
7.Quest Crew- wow, another all asian group. Not much to say about that. There probably gonna win.
8. Ringmasters - Hmm, an all gansta looking group that offers something nobody has seen before. Contortionism. wtf? are you serious? I will really like to see how they pull it off.
9.Striker All Stars - An all stepping crew. Good to see more diversity.
Seems to be a diverse group of crews this season and should prove to be an exciting season. Another piece of news is that JC Cha-douche will be mia for the first episode and kid Rainan from the Jabbawockeez will be guest judging. I think what I'm excited about the most is the battle between Jabbawockeez and Super crew as a guest performance. Cause let's be honest Jabbawockeez will always be number 1. Its those freakin masks! they bob their head a little and I'm amazed.
These days, it's hard to tell who your best friend is, or even harder to find one. Which is especially hard for Paul Rudd's character (Peter Klaven) in his latest comedy I Love You, Man. Just seeing the trailer, I gotta say that I am excited for this movie. I love Paul Rudd, and his dryish comedic performances. If you don't know who Paul Rudd is I recommend watching Knocked Up or Role Models. Both very funny movies. Anyway, that's all I have to say. It comes out March 20.

Lets face it, when it comes to humor, stereo types are probably one of the funniest things to talk about. As an asian male growing up in north america, I have faced my own share of asian jokes. Common ones are: squinty eyes, small, smart, short, short penis (I'm takin that one back for all the asian guys of the world) etc. Anyway, for some reason I'm just starting to notice that it's the asian males who have it the toughest. I mean, nowadays when your making fun of asians, your thinking of a typical asian male who is short, unattractive, and has squinty eyes. But when you think of asian females, its much harder to make fun because, nowadays, their smart and sexy. Is this right? When was it that the asian male had to take on the weight of stereotypes? Anyway, I'm just blowing my own smoke, it's probably because its much easier to make fun of guys than girls. But I wanna be smart and sexy too .

According to tv.com Tom Welling is thinking about returning for a ninth season of Smallville. I don't mean to be rude but I think it time to end it already. Even though I love Smallville, I think it has run its course. I think if they were to make a great ending for this last season, it would finish off the series very nicely.I remember hearing somewhere ,from the creators of Smallville, that we would never see Clark Kent in blue tights and a red cape. I mean, how much more story could they do after Doomsday (Superman's ultimate rival)?

A few days ago I went to watch Brad Pitts attempt at a serious movie. Very sad to say that it was lacking a bit. Brad Pitt is able to play an old man quite convincingly, but as the movie goes on his acting begins to diminish as if he was getting tired of playing a man who ages backwards. Acting aside, what bothered me the most was the length of the movie. I didn't walk out of the theater thinking about the movie but rather i was asking myself what the hell is the time? I felt like I had just come out of a 3 hour flight! Overall it was a decent movie and it really made you think about life and death. But man! Brad Pitt has really aged. I mean just look at the movie poster, its as if he was raising 10 kids or something lol. O well, if there's anything this movie has taught us its that you can't beat time.
