This blog is exceptionally quiet these days in an ironic counterpoint to my state of mind. Serious illness causes all kinds of upheaval and rethinking of priorities. While I would love to be able to write during this time I find I'm just not ready or able. There are so many thoughts and feelings that I cannot unscramble, right now.

However, I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to those going thru a similiar ordeal. I feel for you.

I would also like to request any and all prayers for healing and peace of mind. Thank you in advance to all who send some good wishes skyward on my behalf.

Sincerely,

Lisa

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know that all cancer does not show up in a routine mammogram? If you feel a lump let your doctor know. Then he can order specific mammography views to pinpoint that area. Your doctor can also order an ultrasound which will sometimes detect a mass that was missed by your mammogram

This is Part Four of an absolutely personal, indulgent & really long list! I have been feeling down lately and compiled these random events & items from my past to cheer myself up. Now, I feel wistful. Like most children, I couldn't wait to grow up and do what I wanted when I wanted and not have anyone tell me what to do all the time! - As grown-up, I realize that idea was highly overrated.

Feel free to share any of your long forgotten favorite memories

I am sensitive, always have been, always will be. It's as much a part of me as my brown eyes or my unruly hair. This world, it's people and their actions get inside my head and my heart and I suspect even my soul. Being a human being living in this 21st century community with access to global news & events past & present is overwhelming. It takes a toll on me and skews my view of life.

So, I'm going to be proactive for my own health and every so often seek out a "Good News" story. A story that is uplifting, inspiring or just plain happy. I will share that story and hope others will feel a bit more positive [ Click here to read more ]
