Bread.

I think if I was to be stranded on a desert island and asked to choose between bread and chocolate I would have to go with bread... and that's really saying something as I love love love my chocolate! It's my one failing whenever I've dieted I just can't resist it. And it's white bread too, not the wholesome goodness of brown (which I do eat but it's just not the same) so even worse for me. I especially find that if I've had a few alcoholic drinks the night before that upon waking up in the morning I'm ravenous and only bread with a thick spreding of cold butter and occassionally cheese spread (which has to be Dairylea) will suffice. I don't know why this is but it's always been the case. Most mornings a piece of fruit or a slice of toast is enough to keep at bay the hunger pangs but "the morning after" I could (and sadly have) eat half a loaf of bread and still crave more.
Maybe I should do some investigative work and find out why I have this craving... but first I need to go and buy me some more bread, butter and dairlylea as this morning we've run out and I have a huge craving.

I'm another bread lover, although I must admit I do enjoy grainy or wholemeal bread rather than white.
Our local supermarket makes an awesome fruit and nut loaf which I just couldn't do without.
YUM!!!

One Too Many Chocolate Bars
Nice to see another bread lover. I do enjoy wholemeal but white is definately my favourite. When I was younger and used to go to Ireland on holiday with my parents I used to love the soda bread. I'll have to get my Mum to bring some back for me when they go there this summer.
Take Care.
Sarah.
