Bolton joins Heart, could Aloisi too?

The Melbourne Heart have this week completed the signing of Sydney FC goalkeeper Clint Bolton who was told a month ago he would not be getting a new contract with the team. Bolton has been strong in the goals for the sky blues this season, and came as a surprise that he was leaving the team. Bolton managed to keep the Victory out on Sunday to claim the premiers plate but it seems strange for the team to keep him as their keeper during their finals campaign to claim the A League Title.
It was a tough day at the office this evening for Bolton, the Victory managed to get two goals past him first it was Nik Mrdja who scored his very first Victory goal during his loan spell early in the game and then Carlos Hernandez. His departure has been followed by Steve Corica who retired during this week after an injury. Clint Bolton seems to be very happy to have found himself a new club, while it brings in the concern that would you play a player who is not going to be at the club next season during an intense battle for a title? Surely Bolton would be keen to go out a winner and not go out a loser if he had the chance?
John Aloisi (pictured left) too has been linked with a move to either the Melbourne Heart or a move back to his native Adelaide, he started his career up in Adelaide with Adelaide City, and should he leave the Sky Blues it would make sense for him at 38 to move back there with his relatively young family. But Melbourne Heart have emerged as a possible home, the Heart are in contract talks with the 39 year old to move to them and finish his career with a group of guys they have already signed.
Justin Hoffman currently at the Newcastle Jets will join the competition newcomers Melbourne Heart on a multi-year deal for their 2010/11 season. His teammate and former Jets captain Matt Thompson has also decided to move to the new side, Thompson was made captain of the Jets in 2009 this was due to a new Newcastle Jets policy that saw the most top-flights appearances being rewarded with the captains armband.
Kristian Sarkies will return to Melbourne in the 2010/11 season as well, Sarkies started life out in 2003 with South Melbourne and played 17 games there until 2005 when he started his Melbourne Victory career. Between 2005 and 2007 he would play 35 games, and find the net 3 times, prior to that he only had the one 1 in his one season with South Melbourne. 2007 he made the move to Adelaide in the 3 seasons he spent there he played 33 games and found the net 2 times.
Dean Heffernan also will join the Melbourne Heart, the former Central Coast left-back joined Huddersford town in League One of the English Championship on loan, he will return to Australia later in the year to play with the Melbourne Heart.
The Melbourne Heart were also after Mark Viduka as their marquee man in their first season but he knocked back the offer and has not ruled out any future involvement at the club, but it does seem to be unlikely that Viduka will ever play in the A-League.
Where will Aloisi end up in what could be his final few years of football? It seems as though his days at Sydney FC are coming to an end and may start again next season as a Heart.
