Started by Sony, Blu-ray discs bring latest improvements on DVDs. It delivers better image quality, dynamic ultra crisp sound and unbeatable added features. By creating a higher storage capacity, Blue-ray becomes more capable of giving you total media entertainment.
On standard, Blue-ray discs are able to store 50GB of information, as compare to 8GB of capacity on a DVD. Nevertheless, this machine is not for everybody or shall I say it wasn’t until recently.
A blend of high cost, slow load times and a lack of available titles had prevented the typical from becoming a practical choice, even for sensitive audience. Moreover, you need an LCD TV or flat screen to do justice to the superior quality of the discs and this being high-priced and more out of reach at the time made it a not-so-viable option.
However, all of these factors are set to change. Key to this is the recent Warner Brothers announcement that the company will be releasing its future titles on Blu-ray discs. And in fact they’re true to its promised. Fueled by this, as well as by growing support from other major Hollywood studios and the increasing adoption of flat screen TVs the new standard in picture viewing is already take off.
Now is the best time to invest in Blu-ray players—before the number of future models becomes overwhelming, prices shot up and the competition makes it all even more incomprehensible.
