Blog is literacy or Science or propaganda or.......
Blog is literacy or Art or science or sociology or news or propaganda?
So many “or”, I haven’t seen in my life. I am having serious trouble, identifying blog into a class. Seems to me it can be all of the above or some of the above or even none of the above. Once again too many “or” comming out. What is it actually?
Literacy: Blog can be a literacy considering lots of blogger who have gift of bringing up creative writing in blog. Reading their blog, gives a feel that you are reading a wonderfully written book that has every aspects of poetry, emotion, spiders of words that jog in your brain cell. My literacy blog example would be Homer Joyce. Reading him everyday I wonder what would Homer, Shakespeare, Hemingway- would have done if they would have had chance to blog?
Art: Considering photography & video grapy as art, and the blogs containing those creating new dimension of art, blog is an art. Some blogger bringing up pain, sufferings, joy, humor through their photo or video blog. You can find a large selection of photo and video blog in flicker, and some of them are truly artistic. Example –Puppet vlog.
Science: Blog is a science since it’s the short term of weblog. And how can we forget the programming and technology involve the build up a blog. Not only that if you have gone through technology blogs, you will see how wonderfully some bloggers presenting technology right in your brain. Things couldn’t be easier than that. My tech blog choice would be Techy Bytes. If Einstein, Newton or Vinci could have got a chance to blog, my God can’t think what could have happen.
News: Off course now a day’s blog is becoming more off a news group. BBC, CNN, Google blog can show you the best example of all.
Propaganda: This one is very delicate comment I made. Why? Since I saw lots of blog contain nothing but copy paste of a press release/story, or some scam/spam notices. So definitely those blogs will go down as propaganda. Don’t forget political blogs intended to gain/misleading public trust fall under this too.
I will be glad to know your assessment on this.
