thinking out loud - February 2009

Black Saturday

Dark ash on the ground,
Traces of Black Saturday,
Smoke clouds in the distance,
Alerting passers by
Of the never-ending danger.

Cattle lazing in a paddock,
Oblivious to the tragedy
Oblivious to the lives lost,
Oblivious to the crime committed,
Oblivious to the acts of bravery and kindness.
