You have read about Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, you have learned the numerous benefits of the therapy and it seems to you like this is a perfect opportunity for you to feel alive, young and energetic again. You are ready to find a physician in your area that prescribes the therapy. And as you’re searching for a physician, you are finding prices for the therapy that slowly but steadily escort your confidence away from starting the therapy.

One factor here is true: prices are reasonable. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy is a natural and alternative treatment for both men and women to stop suffering from symptoms associated with hormonal imbalance/aging. Unlike synthetic hormones, natural (or “bioidentical”) hormones are identical in their molecular structure to the hormones found in your body. Synthetic hormones ARE NOT identical to the hormones found in your body. This difference affects the way that the hormones interact with your tissues as well as other hormones in your body.

But let’s face it – not everyone can afford to pay $2,000 for the treatment.

There are other practices available that divide payments for the treatment between initial visits and follow-up visits. Patients on average pay $400.00 for the first visit, and 250.00 for the follow up consultations. They are happy with the results, thus they are willing to pay the money. But wouldn’t it be wonderful if these costs were covered by your insurance? If you have done some research, you are probably aware that Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy is not a covered benefit under your insurance plan.

Because we love what we do and our priority is our patients’ well-being and absolute satisfaction, we are proud to say that our practice accepts insurance as payment for Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy services.

Don’t have insurance? We understand. It is sad that lack of insurance coverage may dictate one’s health condition. “If you can’t afford our services, you are welcome to find someone else,” is not how we approach our patients’ financial needs. That’s why we have lower affordable prices and are offering 15% discount on your initial Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy consultation.

Please visit our website for our office address and contact information. Our practice is based in Irvine, Orange County (near Los Angeles), but if you are from other states and areas, don’t let this disappoint you. We have patients that live in New York or Florida that come to our office for their initial visit, and the consultations that follow are done telephonically. So whenever you are in the area, dial our office to schedule your initial visit, and once you are back in your home state, the follow-up consultations will be handled accordingly.

There has been tremendous controversy in recent years in regards to hormone replacement to treat the symptoms of menopause, or the male equivalent, andropause. Almost all of the recent studies have produced conflicting results, but the end analysis is predominately negative. It is crucial to understand that all of these studies pertain to the use of synthetic hormone replacement, known as HRT. This method could be defined as the replacement of the missing hormones with similar chemical substitutes, but not identical molecular replicas. There is one constant fact that all clinicians do agree on, our body’s production of all hormones decline as we age, and a large variety of symptoms can be the result. Modern medicine is exploding with the realization of the important role our body’s hormonal system plays.

Bioidentical... what? My reaction precisely when I heard the name for the first time. To me "Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy" sounded like the longest combination of words that, obviously, carried a meaning, but which I lacked interest in learning about.

It wasn't until I started working in the healthcare industry that I finally decided (read: forced to) to familiarize myself with what "Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy" entails. I have to say I was quite astounded by what I had learned and with great pleasure would like to share it with you. This is our future, the very door to the fascinating world of Anti-Aging and Restorative Medicine.

If you are familiar with Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, you might want to skip to the next article, as this one will go into the basics of what the therapy is about. Feel free to visit our website on Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy to learn about other aspects of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy.

For those of you that recognized themselves along the opening lines of this article, please read on.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, BHRT, Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy

So - Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. What is it?

It's a therapy and it has something to do with replacing the hormones. Ok, pretty straight forward. What's bioidentical? Identical in biological structure. Makes sense. Now let's put it all together.

In order for your body to function at its full potential, it needs to produce sufficient levels of hormones. As you age, production of these hormones declines, and a wide range of symptoms can be a result: hot flashes, weight gain, lack of sexual interest - just to name a few. Bioidentical Hormone Therapy is used to bring these hormonal levels to balance.

It is important to know the difference between Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy and Synthetic Hormone Replacement Therapy, otherwise known as HRT. HRT can be defined as the replacement of the missing hormones with similar chemical substitutes, but not identical molecular replicas.
