Big-time Warrior Snub
February 14th 2013 09:07
If I had my way, the film Warrior of 2011 would've won a vast number of awards at the Academy last year. Realistically however, it was only nominated for the best supporting actor role held by the legendary Nick Nolte. Unfortunately then, it was never even nominated for what I thought would be at least best screenplay and leading actor, if not cinematography as well. This movie was snubbed in a big way, and I truly apologize to anyone who worked on it, because it was a great film well deserving of a number of accolades.
Tom Hardy performed a role of his life, as he played a truly emotionally hurt young man with so much hate and frustration towards how his life actually turned out. His father, Nick Nolte, did a incredible job as well; but this should not overlook this tremendous display of acting by Mr.. Hardy. Hardy's brother in the film, Joel Edgerton, did a very good job as well, as this relationship triangle of a father and his two sons really makes the movie emotionally relatable to the entire audience at hand.
This movie tugs on your emotional strings so hard that it realistically causes you to shed a tear or two. This, mixed with a very good showing of some mixed martial arts, makes this movie a must see to all individuals who enjoys a good movie, or even just a good in-depth story.
