A friend asked me to add a broken sniper barrel onto his Defender, an airsoft gun.
The mod went down without a hitch, the barrel helps with the aiming a little.
Then I got carried away and spend $30 adding on EMACs (external, magnetic, ammo, clip), a muzzle flash, and the awesome 'Beast-Mode' switch.
The video explains a bit of the set up: I tore open the gun, rewired it about five times before I got it right and now its a sweet rifle designed for a night-game.
What happens: The gun is full auto, when you hit the B-M switch a flashlight will simulate a muzzle flash when you fire (to surprise the opponent), the flashlight is movable and connects to the rifle through a 2.5mm headset jack (so it can be completely detached), the barrel can also be unscrewed and stashed in a pocket, the EMACs can either attach to a belt or magnetically clip onto the side of the gun (so when it runs out of ammo, just pop one of these off and fill it back up).
Finally! It only took two years, but someone (who is now my best friend) has stopped the robotic cellphone calls that inform the customer "Out of warranty? You are still eligible to reactivate warranty coverage. This is the final call before we close the file."
Start: Two very (insert the worst swear word you know here) (another ******* here) companies decide to cheat people out of their money! not a new or original idea, but hey being a fagot is hard, and these guys excel.
The Act: These two companies: specifically Voice Touch and Transcontinental Warranty send spam. They send OVER ONE BILLION SPAM CALLS. While going to great lengths to hide their tracks and appear to be very non-fagot-like. I personally received about thirty of these calls, and no particular order either, just whenever, including the middle of the night. Even T-Mobile's BLOCK list was unable to stop the spam (I don't really blame T-Mobile for letting the calls get through, I know they tried). Both of the companies profit from scamming normal people.
What Happened: A federal judge has issued two temporary restraining orders designed to stop the calls. The spam should cease, but the restraining order only has effect until May 29.
People I praise for taking action: These people were only the ones listed in the newspaper, but many others were involved. Now, why are they heroes? Because they took action, this particular case was not that annoying for me, its spam in general that ticks me off. I hate spam, spam mail, spam email, viruses (yes, a lot of it is spam and plain jerks, so they're included), spyware, malware, spam calls, commercials. All of it, There should be laws against cyber-s*** like this, and if there is, it should be WAY more effective. OK, the heroes: The FTC, Jon Leibowitz, Sen. Charles Schumer, and Judge John F. Grady.
What you can do: Don't buy anything from Voice Touch or Transcontinental Warranty Inc. NOT A SINGLE THING.
Now if just all the other 99% of crazy scammers would drop dead....
Why do teachers *STEAL* students cellphones?
I do think that students who waste class time to text "lol omg" to a friend should lose their phone, but what of us who *gasp* actually use cellphones to *gasp again* communicate and coordinate?
The thought of schools lifting kids cells didn't really come to me until mine was taken while trying to set up a CAMPING TRIP during LUNCH. Seriously there aren't that many kids who will lose valuable instruction time because of me texting during lunch.
Sooo, I came up with this really great idea for a social experiment: find out what is behind this crazy conspiracy and post my results. The tests will not be done until school is out, so give me two or three weeks to set up the final score.
Here's a video of one of the cell phones:
*Hint: if you want to play a great prank while using this 'cellphone snatching' as the punch line, get a bunch of old, broken cellphones and continuously get them taken up the last day of school*
Way back at the start of the semester, I had an idea.
Over Christmas break, making little gadgets out of Easy Buttons became a hobby. Then, one of them suddenly had a use.
I just created my blog, and Adsense defines this behavior in their Agreement plan.
Apparently some people will pay Google just to post their ads, when one of those ads pops up on your sight, you automatically get your cut of the commissions. Its not a mystery, just kinda funny that Google stands for that random of a deal.
Yes I am.
I hope to provide build instructions with more current projects, the only problem for this one is its been ruined by some jerk in another class who thought tearing up his teachers stuff would be funny.
I love Linux, it never gives me the problems that happen everyday with Windows. My only complaint is the lack of software for Linux.
My sister got a laptop with Vista, and it gives her a BSOD EVERY time it boots up, then she has to restart it to get it to work properly. Then the laptop didn't come with re-install CDs because Bill Gates is afraid we'll use the discs to pirate the OS which is stupid, who would want to steal a crappy operating system like that?
