after much thought i have decided to leave Orble..no i don't have job offer or some big writing opportunity waiting for me..
i just want to "restructure" my writing....at the moment i write for like 5 or 6 online publications, including blogs. yes i am all over the place and there is not focus in my writing. now after spending almost 2 years writing without focusing on a particular topic i want to change. i want focus, an aim, a destination.
from where i am standing now, that destination is MA in International Relations and working on Middle East and South Asian issues
u can say that i can still write at Orble..i mean doesn't take much time,right?? i thought about that but then if i want to establish myself as a fairly good expert on issues i care about, i would have to devote time to write on journals/magazines that deal with the subject, simply put..i want to be seen and read along side the "big guys/gals". yes thats a long long journey, might takes years to come true but i want to try and i want to try now.
this move will help me get focused and hopefully take me to the place i want to be..
so thanks to u all for the great learning experience at Orble and wish u the best.

hi all, after much thought i have come up with a contest where the winner gets $10borders gift card(the one I get from Gather.com, actually it is like me donating my Gather earning..)
here are the details:
1. the contest is open to all Gather members and anyone who is interested, you don't have to be member of the Anti-Defamation group.although i would really appreciate u joining the group.
2. to take part in the contest all you have to do is read news/article i will post on Anti-Defamation group page(link will be provide at my Orble blog) and contact the newspapers editor/newspaper or the author and express ur opinion on the news or the way it is covered. email address of the editor/author will be provided at the end of the article.
3. u don't have to subscribe to a particular opinion,all we ask is ur honest assessment and opinion, and also respect for Palestinian equal rights,their human rights and justice.

so here i am after enjoying a week in alaska..it was fun and a very moving experience.alaska is a very beautiful place..i recommend it to anyone..go see how nature can create beauty and majesty..u will be thrilled..
now getting back to business..things seem to be bit calm so lets keep it that way..congratulation to all Asian Americans because MAy is Asian history month here in US..thank u all for ur contribution and hard work..i feel proud to be Asian..
about me not really being back here is the story..i have decided to go back to school for M.A in International Relations.all these talks about politics and foreign affairs have "damaged" my brain completely so i have no other major to choose from..i will be applying to Purdue University, hope i will get in.in order for me to get accepted i have to have great GRE score, prefect TOEFL score and yes show them that i am a good candidate for international relations since i don't have any prior education/training in the field( have MBA in IT management..but thats not going to help..) it is going to be an uphill battle..
so here is what i ask..send me ideas so that i can present myself as a good candidate for international relations study. if i can use this blog as my platform an prove that i can write.think,talk and act politics..my work here is done..but if this blog can't help me do that..then i will have to find sth else..which means i have to say BYE to y'all..

When Iraq invaded Kuwait,it was based on Saddam Hussein's claims that Kuwait is actually part of Iraq and now he wants it back.Withing days of invasion he declared Kuwait a province of Iraq and began stealing the country's oil.Then US attacked Iraq along with coalition forces and freed Kuwait.

Although the US constitution says that all citizens are equal regardless of age,sex, religion or political belief, homosexuals or gay people are not treated equally. This may be because of religious beliefs or social pressure.In light of this, if someone comes up to me asks "Is America Ready for a Gay President", I would have to say, with sadness, NO.
Why? America is not ready for a gay president because the society still has deep seated bias against gay people.It may not be intentional in some cases but because of years and years of prejudice the discrimination and negative attitude is still there.Some people justify the discrimination on basis of their religious belief.MORE

Al Sharpton, who descends to every town in America if you dare say anything against the African American community, is in my opinion a hypocrite.
Sharpton who was once a civil rights leader has now transformed himself into an one man army. He will hunt you down if you cross the line against African American people. On the onset, this looks like a man who is dedicated and someone who is willing to work for his community. You are mistaken my friend if you have these ideas about Mr. Sharpton

Ah! the questions about morality on the internet! The world of cyberspace has encroached our lives so much that we are now losing breath talking about morality on the internet and the challenges facing it.
Morality on the internet, if you ask me, is an none issue. It is not that internet makes it difficult for people to keep their morals. No. Internet just makes it easy and convenient for people to experiment with their morals.You can take advantage of the anonymity internet offers and lose track of your morals but it is you who is in charge, not the internet. I don't know who don Imus is, I mean what kind of person he is or what his beliefs are. This means I have no right to judge whether he is a racist or not. By just listening to statements he made in regard to the Rutgers Women's basketball players, I would have to say he has some serious misconceptions and being a woman it did offend me, but I will refrain from calling him an out right racist.
Now in this light, if you ask me if he should be fired or not, I would say NO. This because, he has First Amendment Right to free speech. Well, free speech does not mean he can say whatever nonsense about women and minorities but we cannot force him to be nice. All we can do is call him out on his mistake and show what he has done. After that it is him who has to decide, whether he wants to change his ways or not. MORE
