Bennett to quit Broncos

January 28th 2008 01:22
Long term Broncos and NRL coach Wayne Bennett is tipped to quit the Broncos at the end of this Rugby League season.

Recently hitting headlines after a failed switch to the Sydney Roosters, Bennett has been the Broncos head man since their inception in 1988. High successful and well respected, it simply seems he has stayed on a season too long, as the eager board pushes for new blood.

Bennett is expected to take a position with the NZ Rugby League as a coaching director in the year ahead.
