Got told to come here so it doesn't expire. Keep coming back for some reason, probably because I want to see the vague progression of my emotions of a year.

I am okay I guess. I got happy for a while then I got a little miserable then I got happy and now I'm middling.

Girls are far away or otherwise uninterested/uninteresting. Gave up on THAT one, for the better. She found someone and then that someone went and crushed her two weeks later, fuckhead. She is my bestest friend though and I love her to bits, its pretty great. Just have to decide what I want to do with my life now. I think I failed schooling.

I might move cities next year. That's scary. Mostly beacuse I have to leave her and she's one of the only people I trust. Uh.

Life.

It's shit.

everything is fucking dumb and i don't want to kill myself i never want to kill myself but whatever i'm so lonely but i can't tell anyone because it always appears i'm just being an attention seeking loser and i am pretty sure i just revealed to my best friend today that i'm depressed but i think she mistook my response to her after she seemed a little apathetic. i guess i shouldn't make jokes about how people feel. i want to apologise but then i'm kind of just... saying sorry for being depressed? i don't fucking know. ugh. i wish she would just talk to me properly, about our emotions. she never does. she avoids it. she'll tell other people but not me. i wonder why. i think she hates me.

i love her. she's my best friend/

i'm misery againnnnn

she's taken an interest to this guy and he to her and ughhh. 1) i'm a little jealous, but that's just to be expected/can't do anything about. 2) she has stopped talking to me as much. we used to talk everyday and now its way rarer. barely spoken to her in days. she treats me differently too. its always 'whats up BRO' and ughh its killing me. 3) he's a really nice guy but it seems like he's such a suck up and i hate suck ups 'cause its just not being yourself so someone will like you and uhhhh

i still have a crush on my best friend and we're pretty tight these days, but i can't know/predict her feelings towards me at all. its way too risky to outwardly try and start a relationship with her, or even ask her out on a date, her friendship is actually one of the coolest things about my life right now. i am enjoying life and i dunno, i'd be actually emo and lonely without her friendship. i sound gushy. soz.

edit: okay emo is OTT but you know. I'd be WAY embarrased if she/anyone else found this

I don't want to leave my town. I love my friends, or some of them at least. They mean a whole fucking lot to me. Even if one of them has moved away, and another I barely ever see... crap I barely see any of my friends. Except one. Maybe.

I love experimental music. And I love pop music. Combine them together... Panda Bear!

Panda Bear is just the surface though! Get out there and check some stuff out, highly recommend it. Stuff like the New Weird Australia compilations (available for free, too: http://newweirdaustralia.com/) are a decent place to start, but really just listening to radio shows such as The Sound Lab (JJJ) and any of the late-night noise/experimental shows on Edge Radio is as good as place as any to start.

It's all totally confusing, and some of it is even confronting, but I'd definitely recommend going to some of the experimental music stuff when MONA FOMA comes around again. They usually have some nice improv shows, great to watch.

And yeah.

I remember downloading 'Ready To Roll' from Unearthed back in Grade Ten. I listened to it a lot. They were called The Sweats back then, and I was surprised to find it was the exact same recording from a few years back.

I like this album.

Am I the only one that comments here? ahaha. Nobody comments on mine though so thats cool

Second Chance is a great song.

I love loop pedals and the potential they have. Evlyn Morris from Pikelet uses them a lot, lots of people like her but I only have one song (a Christmas song)...

But I love layered music, so loop pedals get a big thumbs up from me. Jordy and Jono use them in Paint Your Golden Face for drums, organ and vocals to create lovely build up of choir and drum rhythm.

I disgress, one of the things that makes My Girls so great is the lush texture and build up of sound, whereas Dappled took all that out and made it straight up, basic to emphesise the lyrics. And Panda Bear/Avey Tare's vocals are far more harmonious and lovely then the Dappled boys' it is a nice rework of the song though, didn't like it much to begin with but it has certainly grown on me.

I'd be ready to endorse the New Moon soundtrack. The movie is a complete non-entity in my eyes. It sucked, complete balls, but that doesn't tarnish my enjoyment of the music. Spectacular cuts from Thom Yorke and Grizzly Bear. It may have even been at the peak end of my Top 10. I sure listened to it a lot.

My Girls was one of my favourite tracks of 09. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. Or that whole album. Thanks for the Dappled cover, it was certainly lyric-focussed which I liked, but they got a few of the lyrics wrong the second half were the percussion comes in was good though. I found a download link for it somewhere...

I actually really liked a lot of stuff from the Twilight: New Moon soundtrack, but the Death Cab is one of my least favourites from the album. Have you listened to the soundtrack? Indie rock circle jerk at its finest.

Really like that Grizzly Bear song. Gotta run.
