Flashes of memories - MUGABE MUST GO!!! ZIMBABWEANS NEED THEIR HOME BACK

There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness - Carl Jung To be at one with God is to be at peace ... peace is to be found only within, and unless one finds it there he will never find it at all. Peace lies not in the external world. It lies within one's own soul. - Ralph Waldo Trine

Beginning to Understand the Self...Part 1

Please note: this is not an edited, finished, polished piece of writing. Rather it is just me as I process a whole heap of new information and which is just skimming the surface and will later be a point of further investigation. Anything that you may find contradictory or which you may like to add to please feel free as I would appreciate different perspectives. Basically it is just a processing of thoughts.

I have always been a little weary of things that do not tie in with my Religion which has meant that I have steered clear from them, shut them off and not investigated. Recently though, I started to have a little more of an open mind with regards to these things...and a voice was nagging inside, 'No, don`t look at that book, don`t read that Post, don`t go onto that website'. To be honest I have felt a little torn - which voice was my intuition speaking? Which voice was right? Both of them felt right however both of them were telling me to go in different directions. Then, too often little signs started to pop up that I could no longer ignore and which have resulted in curiosity getting the better of me. (not like me to ask questions hey?) It was then that I decided that my inquisitive voice was one to be followed, as long as a degree of caution was exercised and my faith not bent too much out of joint. I think it has led to paths that are the right ones, although I may discover otherwise as I continue.

So now the more that I look into these things the more that I see the goodness within them. I find it difficult to believe that something which is connected to goodness and faith and God can be something which has evil behind it. Obviously you have to be weary about what you believe for there are a few out there who disguise themselves in sheeps clothing, ready to draw you into their web of deceit. Often I have heard of people saying things like, 'How can you put faith in a stone? Are you not meant to put your faith in God?' Although I have no experience with crystals and gems and perhaps a naive knowledge on them, surely it is not having faith in them as such, more opening your mind to their power...the same way that you would to taking medication if you were sick?

From what I can understand so far there are a lot of companies/individuals posing and ready to make a quick buck with get rich quick schemes of promises of gems with magical healing powers and crystals that contain better energy than those that one would find elsewhere. Invariably these are either the same as you would find in 'proper' shops or else man-made frauds that will not work anyways. These are the ones to be careful of. However, in line with the laws of the Universe they are all created equally, you just have to find the right one for your need.

Understanding Crystals

Everything in the Universe is made individually and none the same, although belong to a certain group (for naming purposes?). Just look at people - we belong to the group of humans however we all look different and have our own characteristics that make us unique.

A crystal has a memory therefore everytime you purchase a new crystal you should clear its memory so that any negative energy that is contained within it will be cleared. (This also applies if you use this crystal for healing). It would be no good for you to use the energy of a crystal if it was giving off anything negative. Clearing a crystal can be done by burying it in salt, leaving it in the moonlight, burying it in herbs and burying it into the Earth.

Enter some history: Salt is known for its healing qualities. In fact it goes all the way back to the time of the ancient Greeks when Hippocrates, in the 5th Century BC, began using it widely for medicinal purposes. It is believed that sea salt is better for the clearing purposes because it is a lot purer than other salts that you may find. Salt was not always as readily available as it is now because of how difficult it was to obtain. In fact Roman soldiers used to be paid partly in salt...which is where the word 'salary' comes from ('salarium' in Latin means 'paid in salt').

(In case you are interested check out this article with regards to the power of the moon.. It tells a rather interesting tale, especially if you are a woman )

Whatever comes into contact with our skin is absorbed into our bodies which is why it is best to wear the crystal near to your skin or, in particular, near to your Chakra points where it would be most effective ie. wearing Lapis Lazuli, which is connected to communication, would be best worn around the throat Chakra...coz this is where your voicebox is...HELLO!!!!

The Levels of the Mind

This is a huge topic...HUGE! Basically we have 7 levels of consciousness - 4 main levels separated by 3 transitional levels. I am not going to go into it all because I am still learning it myself but basically the 4 main levels are: Waking, Dreaming, Deep Sleep and Turiya (silence after moving through the others, as I understand it). The transitional levels, obviously, slot in between these....should you like to read further check out this website which explains it in much more depth and with much more clarity.

The Laws of The Universe, The Energy of The Earth

Some thoughts on the laws of the Universe....and this is where the questions start....mmuuuwaaahhhahahhhaa you thought there would be no questions.....there were a few places that I was sent packing off because immediately I felt negatively about what they had to say, however I found one which I was particularly drawn to so it is the one that i share with you now (see this is the two voices working together I reckon))) ):

Some of the laws of the universe:

1. Mentalism: The Universe is mental. All is mind.
2. Correspondence: As above, so below.
3. Vibration: Everything is in motion. Nothing is still.
4. Polarity: Everything has its pairs of opposites.
5. Rhythm: The pendulum swing manifests in everything. The measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left.
6. Cause and Effect: There are many planes of causation but nothing escapes this law.
7. Gender: Gender manifests on all planes.
source

(I know the above website claims there are seven, but as I look deeper there are a lot more that should also be taken into consideration: love, balance, prosperity, thought etc.)

what happens in your life comes from YOU! you have choices to make, you use words to lead and guide you....do bad things just happen? are things just so? just because? or do you make them happen? is there a more deeper meaning why you are drawn into that experience? there are repercussions for everything that you do....do you believe in karma? what goes around comes around? if you do something to someone do you think about the consequences before or after you do it? is your brain as fried as mine ...warning, warning information overload, information overload...

Ash,

Are you still my friend, child?

You must be overworked, chicky babe, at present.

Have they given you your teacher's job yet?

Be good sweet maid and let all those be ??????????

Do happy things not dream them all day long,

so let...................make life forever

One grand sweet song! ........... It may have been Adam Lindsay Gordon. I was a child.

Sorry but I had to leave out the bits I couldn't remember.....it's probably pretty sexist.

You see that ugly sculpture of the thinker, that's me, but I'm a female one and pretty harmless really.

Don't forget to sleep, I continued with my unpleasant work today, in comparison Orble is just a breeze.

This post is extremely interesting, don't swim too deep into unchartered waters.

katyzzzmum........don't tell anyone the code......glad to see you're doing so well.

I love this line of thinking, Ash. God-based religions and earth-based practices don't necessarily have to clash (in my opinion). If God made the Earth, it would seem logical to think he knew full well the tools he was offering. I'd hardly thing the vibrations in the stones could be considered accidental in nature.

Keep exploring,

What is your religion, if you dont mind my asking? I was Catholic up until about 12, when that ended very suddenly. I had never felt comfortable in church, with the dogma, but I had always loved raising my voice in praise with the choir. I got right into goddess worship and witchcraft at that right age, 14/15, but as the years went by I realized it had a dogma all its own. I do not believe in rules at all - I believe in the abyss, the mother, the light, the father. They come together, they create life, the expansion of the universe is them making ecstatic love - forever.
This post has proved to me just how intellectual you are, how well informed, and just how good inquisitive nature can be for your soul - curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back!!
Like you, I usually feel torn between two voices, after the illness I dont tend to listen to ANY of them, like starting at square one again - fall into the dogshit face first to learn your lesson. I say "everybody shut the hell up!Im making my own desicsion, wrong or right!" This process is hugely confused by the fact I pick up 'riders' everywhere I go, who think its wicked fun to pitch in and send me off chasing gooses.
I agree, information over load. When did living get so bloody hard?

Hi all sorry for the delayed response to your comments life is pretty hectic at the moment!

Hi katyzzz,

I am still lurking around the place although my priorites have to lie elsewhere for a little while. Books are piling up around me...I love it

My teachers job? Nah have tried my hand at teaching before and won`t be back down that route for many, many years I think. I enjoyed teaching when my students actually wanted to be taught. When they moved me to another section of unruly teenages they put me off for life...actually I think it was when I went on a 4 day camp with a bunch of teenage boys and girls and ended up the only female councellor with them it was the final straw...too long a story to go into on a comment but whew! it was hard work and by the time we got back to reality my nerves were shot and I left at the end of the term....no more teaching for me...that takes a special person for that job I tell ya

Ah unchartered waters? Fear not there I sail wearily, not very trusting of the water that lies beneath my boat....I just find everything interesting and enjoy searching through it all. I am finding a lot of answers here, a lot of strength...A lot! It`s all good and exciting this growing business

Hi Wendi,

I hear what you are saying. It has actually led me to a lot of the thinking that is involved here. I cannot believe that these things are around us just because ....and why would they be there if we were not to investigate them?
The more that I look into it all the more I see that this is all such a personal journey...what is right for one person may not be right for another. However making sure that you are well informed is the trick to finding where you should truly be. I am reading a book about a woman who went on a similar spiritual journey...except she was more drastic...selling up her life and moving to India. She was drawn into cults and fooled by money hungry people who are out there trying to make some $'s from people who search for truth.
WOuld God have blessed us with such inquisitive minds if we were not supposed to use them to explore and uncover and search??
I love all this new information....it fits in so well...with life

Hiya K,

I am Anglican. I used to love going to Church with my grandmother on Sundays. She was my most special person, we spent a lot of time together and was like a mum to me. She introduced me to religion - the thing that I love about the Anglican church is that it is very spiritual - I love the chanting and the sound of the hymns echoing through the stone walls. The church that we used to go to was an old, stone chapel with a thatched roof set in the most beautiful gardens and with stained glass windows depicting stories from the Bible. It was my place of sanctuary and I actually once spent a night in there after a rather harrowing experience...it was the first place that I thought of to go to. I don`t go to church now,....I guess I have been become lazy with my spiritual growth, caught up in the living of this world rather than the being....

I find everything rather shallow now though, like I need more and I find the people around me to be the same..I need some challenge, some prodding for further growth and it is not coming to me, therefore I must go to it...that is something else that I am realising the more that I am looking at this all....nothing ever comes to you in life in a particularly obvious way...there are no blinding lights or flashing signs, it is the subtle little things that are left behind that we have to search for...the little things...all that changing perspectives and stuff.
Anyways I could ramble on for ages but I will stop now

Thanks all for your comments. Will try and catch up over the weekend
cheers
ash
