Beautiful consignment shop in Mornington

Consignment is the act of consigning, which is placing a person or thing in the hand of another, but retaining ownership until the goods are sold or person is transferred. * Wikipedia
Consignment second hand clothing shops have been around for quite some time. How does this work? Simple; take your second hand labels into a consignment retail clothing shop, and agree on the retailer’s terms whereby if the item(s) sells, you will obtain a percentage of the sale, and the retailer will take the remainder.
There are a few consignment recycled clothing shops around, but perhaps none quite as beautiful as Queen Bee Recycled Emporium, Main Street, Mornington, VIC which opened in January 2010. Queen Bee sells second hand labels for women, a small collection for men, and also a few pieces of furniture items such as a chairs and paintings of which appear to be shop furnishings, but are in fact for sale. The shop has a vintage Parisian boudoir feel about it, it is set out so beautifully, you would initially not notice the clothes were second hand. Its sister store Rivage Recycled opened 16 years ago. Only a few doors down, it is smaller, and concentrates mostly on women’s labels.
Sadly I did not have my camera with me last weekend when visiting both stores, but I will be sure to post a photograph of this beautiful store shortly. Here is a picture of Main Street on a market day instead
