Available from July 2006, the limited edition Works kit for the Cooper S promises to be a lot of fun. As well as upping the power output to 218 bhp, theyve managed to shed 40 kilos as well!
This has been achieved with the use of aluminium chassis parts and the deletion of the rear seats and sound deadening material.
Some engine and intercooler tweaking has resulted in an 8 bhp gain over the already potent JCW model. A limited slip differential and DSP (Dynamic Stability Control) are fitted as standard.
Other features setting the Works GP apart from lesser models, will be the addition of specially designed lightweight 18 inch alloys and the unique body colour in grey-blue with a pure silver roof and Chilli Red mirrors.

Photos of the new Mercedes CL Coupe have been unofficially leaked onto the internet today.
Its believed the CL Coupe will share many components with the S-Class saloon car, although it seems to have softer and more curvaceous lines than its four door brother.
The car in the photos seems to be one of the tamer models from the range, with a reported 3.7L V6 power plant. However, it is hoped that AMG will make their mark on the coupe, giving it a 6.3L V12, producing an almighty 600 bhp.

Perhaps best known for their record breaking 250 mph 911, 9ff have turned their attentions to the Cayman.
The already striking Caymans looks are enhanced with an aerodynamic package as well as a set of centre lock forged aluminium wheels.
The real difference with the CR-42 is in the engine bay. The power is given a hike up to 420 bhp thanks to its 4.1L, making for an impressive 0-100 kph (62 mph) of 4.4 seconds - just 0.1 seconds off the pace of the 997 GT3.

Those people missing the old supercharged 5.5L V8 wont be upset for too long, once theyve sampled the delights of its successor.

Lamborghinis plans of building an SUV to rival the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, have been dropped by the supercar manufacturer.
Ideas of an uber-saloon, (as a successor to the seventies Espada) have also been shelved. Their president Stephan Winkelmann stated âIâm a fan of SUVs, but making one isnât on the radar for this decade. Weâre such a small company, we couldnât do one on our own. Still, it would make more sense for us to do one of those than a four-seater
