It is amazing how easy it became to be a couch potato even if you are an energetic and full of life person. It is something that you must be aware of especially because when you fall in the trap it is hard to go back to healthy habits.
A lot of people try beer, cigarettes or weed for the first time just to do like their friends or to look cool. Is it really cool to take drugs? Yes marijuana as a drug even if a lot of people don’t regard it as been on.
We always talk about classical art and music from the European perspective: Beethoven, Mozart, Modigliani, and Michael Angelo..... But what about the rest of the world?
Classical music seems to means classical European or western as some may say music. What about the Arabic classical music characterized by the luth a specific rhythm, the Chinese classical music? And all the other countries?
I was in class the other day, and the lecturer asked us : “ Sex sells in every country isn’t it?”. Well , no I thought. So I objected, arguing that in some conservative countries it is not the case. I am thinking of the Arabic countries, the African ones and some Asian ones.
In these countries sexual images, naked people ...etc raise protests and even add for condoms have to be very careful to do not offend the population. In that case how can we really say that sex sells in these countries?
Energy drinks like Red Bull, V Vitalize Energy Drink, .... etc and more are pretty popular among teenagers and young adults. The consumers of these drinks declare feeling full of energy after drinking them. Even if some scientists says that this may be partly psychological, the truth is that these drinks are loaded with caffeine, sugar and stimulants like ephedrine, Guarana, and ginseng. They sometimes contain three to four times as much caffeine as a regular soda, and some like Coca Cola already alarm the medical community.
A lot of my friends, the guys, tell me they don’t like dancing. As I was wondering if it was a cultural thing, as in a lot of societies, like Africans and south Americans, boys and girls are addicted to rhythm, I began to observe them and ask myself questions.
Some people that being an artist is a status: if you did the right studies and you have an art diploma then you are an artist. Others believe that you are an artist if you have an audience or you are exposed somewhere. Is that what being an artist means?
