It's more expressive than I'd like but the photo.....the photo....was too small.... and I was blinded by the fineness of the features.......the image needs a little refinement....I'll do anothery if I can find a photo...that....does things for me......and the colours?....a little grey....i've never done one in colour before....he's actually got blood running through his veins, I'd take it.....really.....I will do another one.....

Abstract artists used to drink..... wait for it ..... it's coming .......ALCOHOL.......rumour has it that they used bad language.....so next time you think about making an image without a subject...ask yourself....do i really need to slip a cucumber up my arse to prove my worth?....sorry, crossed line.....ask yourself.....should we encourage people to look at the real world in reference to their image-making?.....or......should we just indulge our own personal fancies for the sake of the real world?.......forsake reality?.......for the sake of your self?..........art has been practised for millenia.....with the aim of representing visual experience......art, real art, is a war between subject matter and form.....SUBJECT MATTER.....like a real something ......

Brooke Waldvogel

February 22nd 2007 09:04
Brooke "The Singing Defective" Waldvogel is about so high and so aged with a shoulder that hangs like so. The years have mellowed her into a fine woman the likes of which society chews up and spits. Out of her element treading the social calendar, she's happy to step on a few heads under her breath. It's a breath that is tinged with melancholy, but overcome by her own sanguine temper she spits fire. In her belly sits a beer and a wine; the girl can hold her drink with great ability. It's a trait all the greats share. Piss off wowsers, go jump in the ferment! Being able to drink speaks of a chequered past. Check out her work, it's some of the best you'll see. Get your crying gear around the poetry of her placement of familiar and unfamiliar objects in the plane of flatness that is Art. She's been practising for a few years now; she's as young an artist as the millenium is. To quote her "Art is a many splendoured conglomoration of antipathies in a post-modern context". Bullshit she cried! The BW is not into the wank that goes with art; she's a skilled craftsperson with an incredible imagination. Stop the BS, cried she. If I had a spare quid i'd bet on her work, so why don't you.
