5-Card Reading (Finally!)

October 21st 2006 10:03
I took a loooong break. But I'm back.

I just did a 5-card reading for a new acquaintance at MySpace, whose identity will remain anonymous. Well I guess I could at least say her given name, Sara.

Here goes the e-mail I've just sent her:

Hi Sara!

In a 5-card reading using The Celtic Tarot Deck, your First Card, which represents the dominant Situation in your life now, is the Knave of Pentacles.

* Are you feeling restless because you think you've got to be elsewhere doing something that you love to do?

* Are you reluctant to take a good offer because you just couldn't stop thinking of the things that could go wrong once you make a decision to take that offer?

* Do you feel that you're being deprived of something?

The Second Card standing for the Challenges and Opportunities that you may be facing right now is the King of Pentacles.

(Interestingly, the first two cards look like father and son, or the young and the old, or the student and the master. It does seem that you are challenged in the area of preparedness over something.)

* Have you been feeling discouraged or indecisive over something?
* Is there a field in your life where you feel incompetent?

Your Third Card is The Fool. This is The Advice I've drawn from the cards.

The advice means -- I'll be straightforward -- Just go for it.

Do not be afraid to make mistakes. If something's too good to be true, it is wise to be cautious; but that is not to say that you should shy away from it without investigating further. It may just be the break that you've been waiting for. So take action. Grab the chance.

Your Fourth Card is The Ten of Wands. It is your Daily Lesson Card.

If there's anything that you should learn today, it is that you need to be less critical of yourself.

You may have been taking on so many responsibilities. Naturally, not everything is going perfectly well.

Learn to say no if you have to. The road ahead is not exactly paved and smooth, and the fact that you have a lot over shoulders is not making life breezy.

The least you can do is be kinder to yourself even if it means giving others a thumbs down sign.

Finally, your Fifth Card or The Near Future Card, is the Knight of Wands.

While hesitation and second thoughts clouded the first part of this reading, the outcome seems to say that there's a wild adventure waiting for you a few days down the road. If you loosen up and believe in your skills, you may just get there even sooner.

Note:

This reading is done by Arlene. Cards were picked according to the FIVE unique numbers (7-13-8-12-5) that you gave and the cards' position in the shuffled deck.

Arlene is an amateur Tarot Card reader who wants to practice reading for people so she could get a little bit better after each reading.

Your feedback is necessary for her desire to grow as a reader, so she could guide people to the messages lying in their heart.

Please e-mail your feedback to crypticmess@gmail.com.

Thank you very much.

Who's afraid of the Tarot Cards?

August 28th 2006 03:04
Some of my friends openly told me they are usually afraid of looking at the images in the Tarot cards.

Horrible, sinister and ghastly are only some of the words that these friends commonly associate with the Tarot images.

But once I explained to them the story behind some Tarot cards, they ease into the whole set of Tarot images and even learn to formulate symbols and meanings for themselves. I encourage them to do so, because even as each Tarot card stands for a particular symbol, each querent is different and the Tarot card changes for each querent, too -- symbolically, at least.

The Death

This is one card that often initiates fear among querents who are not very familiar with the Tarot cards.

When the Death card shows up, it doesn't mean the querent is dying. It can mean the closing of a chapter in a querent's life. It can also mean the end of an adventure. Or an affair. In other words, the death card does symbolize an ending, but not necessarily of one's life.

This is why I encourage my querents to apply their own symbols and meaning because they know more about themselves than I do. I can only help them in interpreting the card, the actual reading will happen inside their mind.

Card of The Day

August 21st 2006 15:33
Every now and then, I'd ask my Celtic Tarot cards for a "Card of the Day." That's my alternative for a full 11-card Celtic reading whenever I'm too tired or too (cosmically) disoriented for a much more comprehensive card spread.

Today, I ask for a Card of the Day and the Five of Wands showed up.

Five of Wands shows five men engaged in fighting, with wands as their weapons. They wear the same clothes, appear to be of the same height and build, and all seemingly young.

The first question now is How Do I Stand Out?

Amid competitions, political/professional battles and whatnot, you'll surely find yourself asking, "How do I get on top of the situation?"

True enough, I'm under a difficult phase of "battle" now.

Next, I should ask myself: Should I keep on fighting or do I now find ways to flee? Or should I now surrender?

I guess the more important question is, How do I overcome myself (my fear and my self-doubt) to protect myself from those being pitted against me?

Celtic Cross Reading No. 1 - Feedback

August 19th 2006 03:37
In the preceeding post, I said I'd post here how my friend gave a feedback on my Celtic reading for her.

Since I sent my reading via e-mail, she had the opportunity of reading it several times. There are messages she readily understood and related to her life at once. But there are messages that proved true after a few days

Hi Wendi, This is cool. No problem at all. We do see things differently and I always want to hear from other readers, too, because it's part of my goal to grow as a reader

Cheers!
