Are your bookshelves overloaded? If so, you might enjoy this site.

Here, you can rent books for a small monthly fee. The fee depends on the plan you choose.

The books are shipped to you free. There are no due dates or late fees. When you're finished with the books, you return them in a prepaid return mailer. Once booksfree receives the books, you are free to rent more!

Booksfree has a great selection of books for you to choose from. They offer romance novels, classic literature, Oprah's Picks and more.

And, don't worry. If you fall in love with a book (and simply must own it!), booksfree lets you purchase the book at a discounted price.

Yes, you can rent books from your local library but, unlike your local library, booksfree is open twenty-four hours a day!

I can go one better! Believe it or not, there's a place in Baltimore, MD where you can actually get used books for free! Aside from taking books, you can also drop off your old books (sort of a trade). Unbelievably enough, it works!!!!! I've been there and in that brief time, I can't believe all the books I saw waiting to be inventoried. AND the great thing is that just like a regular book store, there are various subjects, fiction, gobs of non-fiction, best sellers, classics, and all the paperbacks you'd ever want.

Like I said, it's all free! It sounds sort of Utopian Hippy/Dippy but it works and the regulars keep it going. I think it's just called Books for Free but I'll check on that.
